Then they start making a list of things they need to buy and soon realize that this business can eat your paycheck. So, back to the original question: is the most expensive paint the best product for acrylic painting?

Most of the famous artists who have delved into the world of infusions have a favorite brand they have tried. For the rest of us who started our artistic lives with acrylic, we buy what fits our budget because we’re not sure we can afford it.
Then, when we know we can do it (and in some cases we can), we start experimenting with other materials. Many of us have heard about it on the Facebook group.
This July will be the anniversary of my journey with this exciting hobby (and career). Like many of you, I am a complete drug addict.
Often I take a color I like, check my color wheel and start mixing colors without thinking about blending brands, light or concentration. I rarely question whether a very thick (heavy) paint will work well with another very thin paint.

When I was shopping for paints, price was a consideration, but when I put on my mad scientist hat and started my mixing day with this silicone product – until now!
Now I want to learn more about each paint that I use. I want to know more about this and why it works for me. I want to understand transparency and complementary colors.
Do I really understand the concept of writing or am I just pretending? Is it possible to draw using only primary colors? Should I get 13 blues? These questions swirl in my head as I get ready to stir the paint on my legs for 20 minutes.
So, I decided to teach myself. I have read some of these topics and more and am thinking about making some adjustments to see for myself what I can learn. For the first test, I compare paints of four brands that I have in my arsenal.

I want to be impartial and completely fair, so my test will be done using the same elements. I try to mix dyes and additives in the same amount, and do the same for each brand. Maybe spitting dirt.
So let’s move on to four acrylic paints that I tried … in one day. The following video may seem like a random operation, but I’m sure it’s not.

It was one of the first paint brands I used when I started painting. My first impression is that it is affordable and comes in a variety of colors.

For this test, it was easiest to mix Flotrol because it is much thinner than other paints. (Although this means I use more paint in the bowl, almost 1:1.)
The paint is easy to apply, spreads well and is ideal for acrylic paints. As for what I did as a test, the jet from the cup was even, colorful and flowed well.
I have to be honest and say that I am in love with the Apple Barrel. For some reason, when I use their white paint, the paint cracks when it dries. .
I’ve only been using Artesa for about five weeks. My first impression is that it is thicker and richer than any other paint I have used.

The colors are BRIGHT. After mixing the first bowl, I quickly realized that I poured too much paint. It was terrible and I had to stop and reboot. As a result, it took quite a bit of paint to achieve the desired effect.
The first thing that comes to mind is the PRICE. Flotrol was more difficult to communicate with due to his proximity. I slowed down, really looking at the colors in the bowls and seeing how deep they get with each dive. I was very impressed.
The real show began on my canvas when the paint came out of the bowl. Again, vitality was the word of the day. Despite the fact that there was very little paint in the cup, it seemed that I had a lot of it.
It was interesting how the paint spread across the canvas. Beautiful paint, I really like it.

The first paint I bought was Artists Room. My eldest daughter introduced me to this hobby and some of the paints she uses.
My first impression of Artist Loft was that it was a bold, creamy, rich color. I didn’t need a lot of paint in the bowl because it’s thick enough to last a long time. Because it comes out of the tube, it’s a bit shiny…almost glittery in there, but no.
It took some effort to mix it with Flotrol. I usually come for 20 minutes or longer. Sometimes I leave the paint on overnight and come back in the morning and pick up more.
This paint requires you to place it in a bowl for best results, but it’s worth it in the end.

When I turned the bowl over the canvas and watched the paint flow, I was pleased with the result and rejoiced that the splashes were so beautiful. You can’t go wrong with an artist’s salon.
This paint is very new to me. I only used it twice before the test. My first impression is that it is thick, the colors are deep and highly pigmented.
I mixed the paint with Flotrol. This paint has good depth and I really enjoyed working with it.
There was one color, but I found a small flaw, and it was red. It was easier than I expected. Looks like the leak didn’t hurt; everything went great and the end result was fantastic. This is a high quality paint and I love applying it.

It should be said that they are all suitable for placing large paints and acrylics. I wouldn’t mind if I could only use one of them… ever.
The main difference was the brightness of the colors. The second difference is the amount of paint needed per cup to make a cup.
