The palette evokes a classic mid-century combination of turquoise, black and white, but less contrast keeps the room from looking too old.
The cool gray of this kitchen is reminiscent of mid-century chrome, but warm tones work too. These neutral white and gray tones add a welcoming balance to bold wall colors.
If your walls are never white, expand your comfort zone with a soft color like the blue in this space. “With dark trim in the same color, it’s a monochromatic style that’s easy to live with,” said Benjamin Moore and design expert Andrea Magno.
