Benjamin Moore Dove White Sherwin Williams – I shared with you last week that our first project of the year was a small kitchen makeover. Color will be the biggest part of the change. Our kitchen has white cabinets, black granite, and sea salt green walls. My walls are itching to turn white. I think this would work well with a black table.
So today I’m sharing my tried and true favorite white paint colors. I have had the opportunity to choose paint colors for several design projects and white is always my choice.

Pigeon White is a beautiful warm white. The color is slightly gray so it is a soft creamy white but without looking yellow/off white. It’s a great color for walls, trim, and cabinets.
Benjamin Moore White Dove: A Comprehensive Guide
It’s just white that we painted in the downstairs bathroom and I love it! It was named color of the year in 2016 and I think it is one of the most versatile whites. This white paint is warm without being too blue/cut but too yellow and sharp. It provides a fresh clean look and is foolproof if you’re having trouble making a decision.
Decorator White is a true white color. There’s a touch of gray that softens the color, but overall this is my go-to for a true clean white. I use it mostly for trim or cabinets.
We have marble in the living room and it is a warm and comforting white. It is very similar to Benjamin Moore’s White Pigeon. The color is not too yellow and looks great next to the bright white stripes. This is also a popular color for shiplap.
Cloud White is a soft warm white and is somewhere between Dove White and Simply White. It has neutral undertones which makes it versatile. This color can be used for your walls, trim, and even your ceiling!

Pure White is a pure white with a hint of warmth so it’s perfect if you’re looking for a true white that isn’t blue/cut. If you want a white kitchen, this color is perfect for cabinets. It’s great for walls and trim.
Chantilly Lace is another true white with a hint of blue, giving it a clean, fresh look. The color is pure white, so it is suitable to be combined with a room that uses bold colors throughout the decoration.
Now that I’ve shared my preferences, the hardest part is choosing. Below are tips I use for myself and my clients.
1. Narrow down your choices I like to collect a lot of colors and then narrow them down to 3-4 choices. Too many choices can be overwhelming and make decisions difficult.

2. The next step can be done in one of three ways. If you don’t like the paint samples on the walls, you can paint 3 colors of your choice in several different spots in your room. A better option is to order a larger sample than a sample.
Sampleize is an online retailer that offers paint samples of pills and sticks painted in actual paint colors. This allows you to see what the color actually looks like without damaging your walls. You can store all these paint cans, with no cleanup and no waste.
Another option is to paint patterns on large foam core boards and move them around your room. The point is to see how colors look at different times of the day and in different amounts of light.
3. Another important factor to consider when choosing paint is its gloss. I usually use eggshell for walls, satin or semi-gloss for trim, and flat for ceilings. Brightness can affect the appearance of colors, so it is important to make this decision before choosing a sample.
White Is The New Gray (paint)!
For my kitchen project, I narrowed it down to Simply White, Alabaster, Cloud White, White Dove. Let me know your favorites in the comments! Find Great Paint Examples Here Among all the white paint colors, there is one that remains a classic and a top choice for many designers, namely Benjamin Moore White Dove. It’s a beautiful white with subtle hues depending on the lighting, but always looks clean, elegant and timeless. Read on to learn everything there is to know about this popular paint color.
Merpati Putih OC-17 is also known as Merpati Putih PM-19 so there is no confusion. These letters and numbers indicate which collection a particular color belongs to. As for White Dove, it belongs to two Benjamin Moore collections: Off-White Collection and Premium Mix Collection.
The LRV (Light Reflection Value) of Merpati Putih is 85.38. This puts it in the white range, but definitely not as bright as other shades of white. You will see a very soft white color.
The light reflectance value is a measure of how much light is reflected from a surface. Measured on a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 is pure black and 100 is bright white. The higher the LRV, the more light is reflected. Note that the LRV of a surface can be affected by its texture and finish. For example, a glossy surface will have a higher LRV than a matte surface. This is why semi-gloss trim will look brighter than walls painted the same color but with a flat finish.
The Best White Exterior Paint Colors
Merpati Putih has subtle yellow and gray undertones. They balance each other and the result is a very soft warm white. The yellow hue is not overpowering at all and I don’t think White Dove is creamy. In a room with lots of light facing south, dove whites tend to be warm white with gray undertones. In north-facing rooms, the natural light is cooler, making colors look a little cooler. But only the subtle warmth of the White Pigeon was enough to fight it. So it doesn’t look good.
Dove white is a very versatile color, which is one of the reasons why it is a popular choice for homeowners and designers. It can be used anywhere in your home! This includes walls, ceilings, trim, doors, kitchen cabinets and other millwork.
White Dove is an excellent outdoor choice. We used it on the exterior of a renovation project and it looks amazing. We did the brick, fiber cement siding and all the spotlights and white dove trim. The color has just the right amount of warm tones and grays so it doesn’t look too bright on a sunny day or too cool at night.
However, if you want outdoor colors that are full of warmth, White Dove is not the right choice. For this I recommend Sherwin Williams White Duck. We use this color on the exterior of our own home. We wanted a white color that would complement the natural wood elements we used for the window headers and porch posts
Favorite White Paint Color
We’re big fans of using the same color on the walls and trim – flat on the walls, and semi-gloss on the trim, doors, and other millwork. But some people like a little contrast between the walls and the trim. If that’s you, here are some white trim colors you can pair with white dove walls.
If you’re looking for a paint color that matches dove white, Sherwin Williams Creamy is a great choice. Like Benjamin Moore’s White Dove, this cream has a hint of yellow, giving it a warm overall tone. But dove white is a little lighter, beige is a little darker. But both colors are beautiful choices for creating a warm and inviting space.
This is a common question we get asked: “Does Benjamin Moore’s White Dove look too yellow?” The short answer is: No, not at all. Although the white dove has the yellow undertones mentioned above, there is also enough gray to tone it down. White Dove is a beautiful, classic white paint color that blends well in a variety of rooms. If you’re still worried about it looking too yellow, try painting a test swatch first to see how it looks in your room. You may find that dove white is the perfect paint color for you!
Whether you want a more traditional look or something more modern, white dove always pairs well with many wood tones and finishes. If you want to add contrast, mix dove white with dark stained wood or black accents. If you want to keep the room light and airy, mix it with natural wood or light metals like brass or gold.
Elements Of Style
Before you invest money in a gallon of paint, it is very important that you sample different paint color options. You can do it the old fashioned way, which is time consuming and messy. Or you can use a sample
