Benjamin Moore Paint Color Pewter Grey – In recent years, Pinterest has become one of the best sources for finding paint colors. That’s because over the years since Pinterest was created, people have been pinning pictures of surfaces and noticing the paint colors used in a room. Over time and hundreds of thousands of pins, we now have access to an amazing library of room images painted in almost every color on the planet! Today I wanted to share some of the most popular paint colors on Pinterest.

If you search Pinterest for a specific paint color, chances are you’ll see a collection of different rooms painted in that particular color. For most of us, it is much easier to see how a paint color will look when used in a room. In fact, I collected and pinned over 300 of these amazing colors to my “Pick a Paint Color” board, and every color I chose for my home came from that board in some way.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been using various Pinterest analytics tools to find a collection of the hottest and most popular colors on Pinterest. It’s not “official” or anything, but it’s great information if you’re looking for paint color inspiration. I also narrowed it down to colors that work well in different lighting situations. I’ve dug up popular ones that are subtle and haven’t worked in the past.

Also remember that what looks good in one room may look good in yours. This information is best used as a starting point to get into the color zone and get a feel for finding color shades and hues.

I was not surprised at all when I was able to collect a palette of all the colors and see that they are all neutral and transitional (a balanced mix of warm and cool tones):

Currently, people are still looking for safe and calm colors that are rich in depth. I’ve talked a lot in the past about how many of us focus our designs on patterned accessories and bold colors rather than wall colors. I’m sure the wall color pendulum will swing at some point in the future, but right now the most popular colors are calm and soothing, yet rich.

It’s so interesting to see how paint colors have become so popular on Pinterest and I can tell it’s because of bloggers and interior designers. For example, Sherwin Williams’ popular color sea salt became an overnight star when Erin from one of my favorite blogs, House of Turquoise, featured this gorgeous bathroom she did in 2010. created by the talented Molly Frey:

In addition to color inspiration, bloggers and designers share product details, including the colors used in their projects. The good news is that the best colors are going viral on Pinterest, providing tons of great color inspiration and color options for our own homes:

Again, I can’t stress enough how important it is to consider these colors carefully, as you will find pictures of rooms painted in colors you love. You have to remember that many of these rooms are professionally lit with high-tech fixtures and that each room has different lighting conditions and variables that can greatly affect the color of the paint. In other words, what is displayed on your wall and in your home may not look right. Therefore, be sure and use the paint color pictures as a starting point and take the color chart and the charts around it and choose the color tones in your room with the most light.

So now the big question is, what is the most popular and re-picked color on Pinterest? I bet most of you can guess what it is!

With a landslide, it’s Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore. Benjamin Moore Paints also says this is the most searched for color on their website:

There are many of my favorites in this group and I can’t wait to hear which one is your favorite. I painted my dining room with Balboa Mist and love it. I also love Benjamin Moore’s Van Courtland Blue:

So, do you like the color? I’d love to know which colors are your favorites in the comments section below. Also, if you check out this app and paint your house one of these colors, please leave a comment about the color. Do you love it or hate it? Did it happen in a certain way? The color comments on the board help a lot when choosing colors.

If you need a little extra help finding and narrowing down a color, you can check out my tips and tricks for choosing a paint color, where I share an easy way to choose paint colors by eliminating shades and tones. My little elimination method takes the pain and suffering out of choosing a color and helps you create the best color for your room in no time! We’ve been stuck inside and rained for the past few days so we’ve made some progress with the cabinets that have recently been stripped of the carpets and the bathroom paint. Here’s a photo of how the room ended up with the stenciled floor and what we’re talking about now, Benjamin Moore’s Revere Pewter on the walls. But let’s look at it for a moment. To start painting the white trim (we used Simply White semi-gloss like the rest of the house).

Part of me doesn’t like to downplay the time it takes to do this, only to share a before and after photo that obscures the process. All it took was one coat of primer and 2 coats of paint (all applied with a brush) and Sherry and I got to work. I figured that since it doesn’t have VOCs as part of the paint, once the coating dries, we’ll be painting the large doors in the room and the small tile surfaces.

Trimming then became part of the wall painting procedure and trimming became child’s play. So many angles.

More often than not, I usually don’t mind painting (besides painting the ceiling), but painting the walls is usually the “fun part” for us. I think any time you go into any project thinking “This is quick and easy”, it’s a slippery slope. But it was definitely one of those little places where we got cocky and said we’d do it in an hour or two, and ended up shooting 2-hour installations over the course of a few days.

For the color, we chose Revere Pewter, which is a light to medium color that is loved by many on Pinterest. Our brains also refuse to see it as Revere Pewter, so we can’t stop calling it Reverie Pewter—even if the guy behind the paint table says, “Oh, so you mean Revere.”

You may remember that right after we moved in, we threw out this Percolating In Progress post with some tentative paint ideas. We needed something relatively light for our bathroom and wardrobe (no windows). these two rooms), but not too bright things like white trim, white mirror and also white shelves in the closet.

We initially tried Pismo Dunes and Gray Owl (both below), but ended up loving the Revere Pewter colorway, which is a combination of the two. It’s almost exactly like the darker shade of Edgecomb Gray (less brown than Pismo Dunes and a bit richer and less gray than Owl Grey).

We really liked how it dried. Taupe-y in some lights (like this shot). In other cases, gray (as below). It changes throughout the day and goes well with the deep faded teal (black pepper) in our bedroom.

And for painting the ceiling, we chose the same color as the walls here. In small rooms, we have learned that if the ceiling and walls are the same (provided they are not too dark in color), the room looks smaller because the corner room looks broken up/shredded/cramped.

As with other rooms we’ve painted, I took this opportunity to change all the lighting once the paint was dry.
