How To Choose Paint Colors: 12 Pro Tips And 5 Mistakes To Avoid
The most difficult thing to do with white paints is that they are not 100% white – they have a tone. Because of the appearance of white it is yellow, blue, green, etc. one puzzle against the wall. My favorite Chantilly Lace looks like white, but with a touch of blue it gives it a more modern look (but not rough or runny). Chantilly Lace is simple and modern and works beautifully with the white bathroom tiles, faucet, vanity and marble vanity top in our master bathroom;
Vanity Area Source: wood and rattan double vanity | Fund of focus | Bathroom Faucet – Massage Nickel | Artificial lights | Vanity mirror – gold | Followed by the scream of vanity | Plant foundation | Marble set dishes | Soap and paint dipped in tray | Toothbrush accessories | Bamboo toothbrush | white and gray striped linen | Clothespins – champagne gold
Benjamin Moore describes Chantilly Lace as “sleek and pure as cotton, this white, refined look of pure silk, soft linens, and delicate moments.” Although it is very large, there is a lot of room for description! Here’s another picture of our entire bathroom – just like the paint colors, they change depending on how much light they get:

Whenever I paint the walls of a room, my choice for a third color couldn’t be easier – it’s the same color as the walls but brighter. Many times people look at a white color for trim because they want some contrast from the walls, but you get a different contrast when you just change the color. Like all whites, Chantilly Lace is whiter in a glossy or satin state (because it reflects better) than Chantilly Lace in a clear or matte state. It is important to put together a contract that you want, while still working on two different things to make it work together.
For the walls and ceilings of our bathrooms I used Aura Bath & Spa (made for other wet areas) in matte. Their matte paint is more glossy than flat, but it is glossy. Many people use egg white on the walls of the bathroom, which is a great choice. I personally prefer matte because I’m not a big fan of shine if you want to paint on the go, it blends out a lot if you use a matte or flat paint. The last reason I chose matte is that I want to use that gloss on the walls and ceiling to wrap a space and I don’t want to use paint and gloss on it in a dry roof because there are too many mistakes.
For the trim in our bathroom, I used Benjamin Moore Advance in Satin (a semi-gloss finish is great for trim – personal preference depending on how much color you want). you like).

If you are considering using Chantilly Lace in your home, you are deciding between it and similar whites, so I thought it would be good to show you how Chantilly Lace compares to other popular brands to help you choose the best brand. That’s right. I bought samples of the last four whites from Samplize to show you. If you’re not familiar with Samply, they sell 12″ x 12″ canvas stickers that you can peel off and stick to your wall;
It sticks to the wall well, but it’s not so tight that the paint peels off, or it’s not easy to remove and store in another part of the room (which I 100% recommend doing – it looks different paint colors. hang it in your room and catch the light). I’ll break down the comparison of these four paint colors, but here’s a look at examples of each on my Chantilly Lace bathroom walls:
Simply White (OC-117) is one of my favorite white paint colors and the color we use throughout our house in NC for our house and recently painted our guest house:

Cloud White Color Review (oc 130)
While Chantilly Lace has a touch of blue, Simple has a hint of yellow. It should be yellow to make it look warm, but not too white. Because of that warmth, even large rooms painted in Simple White can look empty, fearing many, they dress their rooms in pure white. Comparing Chantilly Lace to Simply White, they are similar in that they are both painted in light shades of white, and they both look fresh and clean. The main difference is that Simple White is a warmer color than Chantilly Lace because of the touch of yellow.
So why not use it in our bathroom? Of course, that’s my decision! But when I painted a large pattern in my bathroom, the yellow underneath showed up in the other rooms I painted Plain White. Why? That’s because our marble, bath and shower tiles complement the blue.
I was sure that Simply White would work in my test and I had a last minute photo shop for other patterns and I decided that the best ones were Chantilly Lace. It is learned that although Simple White is a great paint color for most areas of your home, it may not be the best when used next to a marble tile like Carrara for cooling, so it’s when you go to see the yellow. so that the color of the river appears.
Benjamin Moore Super White (OC-152 or PM-1) is another great white color to consider, if you have a hard time seeing the difference between the two whites in pictures from paint samples at my laundry room; So for you! The whites are very similar, and honestly if two rooms are painted these two colors it will be very difficult for you to see the difference. You might think from the name that Super White is the whiter of the two, but Chantilly Lace is a bit lighter while Super White is lighter. Chantilly Lace is slightly lighter in color than Super White. But then again, these two are very similar to each other.

White is perfect for many rooms and decorations, but it’s also great for walls. Looking at Chantilly Lace vs. Decorative White (OC-149) You may notice the biggest difference – Decorative White is not white in color. Also, when they’re side by side, you’ll notice that the Light Effect looks more like gray.
Oxford White (CC-30) is a white color that you won’t hear as much as the others in this range, but it’s still a beautiful white.
