Today we’re going to take a look at these new colors and look at the colors that work best with your decor and cabinets, as well as the colors that might work better “
Best Benjamin Moore Exterior Paint Colors
All of that said, these new whites come at a price (we’ll see below). And the price is probably the ONLY THING keeping these colors from being the TOP white on the market, because otherwise they’re pretty amazing.
When trying to find the best white paint for your project, there are a few things you should do before you start painting your walls…
This is the white you compare to EVERY WHITE. Below is a list of the best whites from each brand.
Because the BEST way to choose an act is to compare! Don’t read the label or compare it to your white paper or pale white legs (or me?). Instead, make your life easier by doing the above when choosing white.
Best Benjamin Moore White Paints For Every Home
I have and will link to many articles on how to choose the best white color. I will also include a full list at the end of this blog because I love you.
You can ONLY get these whites in the Emerald line, which is one of the things that sets them apart from other whites. BUT, this is not a bad thing, let me tell you why.
The new Emerald line from Sherwin Williams is a HIGH QUALITY nail polish. And the price reflects this; high quality paint usually = high results*, high quality paint CONTINUE (cover up to 50+ square feet) and better HIDE (cover your old paint). This can save 2-3 needs
Or you have to buy another gallon of paint. If you get a little sticker shock, keep this in mind. I understand that if you’re doing a big project or on a tight budget, the price can be a deterrent, and I think the ONLY thing keeping this color from being a mainstay in the white world is that it’s not affordable for everyone. wants to paint.

GOOD QUESTION! Every paint color starts with a base, which is what’s in the can when you first pull it off the shelf. The BASE of this new white skin is whiter and cleaner. Plus you get blue in white, and if it reflects white, that’s ALWAYS suspicious.
*I haven’t tried this color yet. I do not charge for each paint color review on my site – no financial investment, free product samples, or even free virtual glasses or cases of wine. Therefore, I offer my honesty, colorful knowledge, practical experience and research.
I don’t have a picture since this is a NEW color and my E-Design client didn’t have a chance to use it/send an “after” picture. However, I have the information and knowledge you are looking for. I’ll also link to other popular whites by Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore to give you some good reference points.
BTW, I rate these whites based on their versatility and my level of excitement for their arrival on the color scene!
Of The Best White Paint Color Options For Finished Basements
TYPE OF WHITE: Snow white is not clear, neither warm nor cold, in the words of the late Great Goldens, it is spotty. OK, it might produce some heat, but not much –
UNDER THE SHADOW: NO. That doesn’t mean they don’t exist, it just means they’re so warm that you don’t need to pay attention to their uniqueness.
Whether warm or cool, Snow White is very versatile and can include warm or cool paint colors and MAYBE a few other whites.
Sherwin Williams High Reflective White has a similar tone and looks WHITE compared to snow white. It also helps to show some warmth in the white snow…
The Best Benjamin Moore Neutral Colours
I am in love with this color and if it wasn’t for the price I would be in the upcoming lake build. I think it will be a popular choice for moldings, cabinets, walls, and exteriors, maybe even Sherwin Williams High Reflective White (which has already excited SW employees around the world…long story).
In fact, if we can all swallow the price, I think White Snow could be the next big white.
I haven’t been this excited (which means excited) about a white since I opened my last bottle of Riesling.
LRV: Cold Foam has LRV 84, which makes it a soft white – neither true nor bright.
My Favorite White Paint Colors
There is still a subtle warmth. This means it doesn’t adjust to the tone, which is GREAT. This reduced resolution is more versatile than white with a yellow base tone, for example, and can be reactive with some colors.
I didn’t see any red flags for colors other than those with high saturation (intensity), meaning they were more colorful than the earth tone family. Plus, fill your shoes!
Cold Foam is like an updated Greek villa. If you like Greek Villa, I’m not trying to win you over, I’m just saying, it’s BETTER. It’s a lot warmer than Sherwin Williams Pure White and it matches Sherwin Williams Alabaster SO MUCH.
Cold Foam has great properties, especially moist heat. I think the LRV is approx. Three points above, it would be PERFECT and my GO-TO white paint from Sherwin Williams Pure White.
Stunning White Paint Colors: Try These 6 Designer Favorites Now!
I am very excited about the Cheviot. Cheviot is the latest warm white from Sherwin Williams and I can’t wait for one of my Online Paint Color Consulting clients to try it out!
LRV: With the 89 LRV, Cheviot fills the gap in Sherwin William’s white family with this LRV lacking good whites (86 and 93 are the next best). This longer LRV brings the Cheviot closer to the point of brilliance, but it’s not exactly “true white”.
WHITE TYPE: Cheviot WARM white. While Sherwin Williams Alabaster is a popular soft warm white, Cheviot has a HIGH LRV that gives us the white color that some homes need without losing the warmth.
SHADE: Being a warm white, it requires yellow, orange or red undertones. Cheviot has a yellow color with a soothing neutral touch, giving it a deliciously soft and creamy feel. Although the yellow/beige is a little lighter than the previous two, it’s still very subtle.
Benjamin Moore Muslin Colour Review By Claire Jefford
Cheviot is very flexible and has several warm tones. Cheviot also works with cooler colors, where the warm tones of Cheviot interact with the cooler colors, making them bounce off each other a bit. It can be a very good combination, making the Cheviot more yellow and the cold color a little stronger.
Interestingly, no other white Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore are actually CLOSED. Cheviot is whiter and warmer than Pure White (shown below) and much softer/less true than High Reflective White. Again, it takes a bit of what Alabaster drops, but is lighter and cleaner to the touch.
With radiant warmth, I think the Cheviot will be very popular whether you go with warm or cool colors. This high LRV sets it apart from the muted warmth of Sherwin Williams Alabaster and Benjamin Moore Cloud White.
Cotton is like a love child between Sherwin Williams Pure White (my favorite white) and Sherwin Williams Alabaster. A GREAT LRV for homes that are not too warm, certainly not cold, and cannot achieve true or bright white. Let’s check it out!
Top Selling Benjamin Moore Paint Colors
When it comes to cotton, it has certain color preferences and may shrink in the wash, but it’s MORE about the PRODUCT and its versatility. Many homes (especially kitchens) can’t resist an original or bright white color. Cotton is a color that can bridge the gap between a room that can’t stand REAL white and a homeowner that doesn’t want an overly creamy/yellowish white.
When comparing whites, it’s easy to see the shifts between temperature, tone, and depth. That’s why you should check out Sherwin Williams Alabaster to see how it compares to cotton. I also hit on Cold Foam and Greek Villa by Sherwin Williams.
Cotton should be very popular with Sherwin Williams Greek Villa and Alabaster. Comparing all three (and they are very similar) the cotton comes from a grounded TOUCH, which is good for me when it comes to Greek Villa because the sound of it always excites me.
