Before the floor experts jump all over me (or delete my comments), I should share that they usually do not recommend harsh chemicals like acetone to clean floors.

Honestly, who has the energy to get on their hands and knees with wires and scrub and scrub for days? It makes me sick just thinking about it. Maybe I can hire a floor cleaner who does a sub-par job of cleaning up your mess. . Either way, it won’t help the problem.

That said, I’m not going to pour acetone in a bucket and wipe the floor (although sometimes it’s clean, lol), but I think a little here and there to remove stubborn grime is good.

It is possible. But if you use it to remove glue and clean it etc, it should be fine.

My LVT floors were finished and I was really happy. And then later I started to see areas where the glue had stuck. I made stairs in LVT and I got yellow glue on some of them. I have been looking for a glue remover for months. I tried applying soapy water with a brush and nothing happened. I didn’t hesitate to try acetone so I tried it on an inconspicuous area and it worked so I started cleaning other areas of the sealer and now my floors look great. Many thanks for the excellent cuts.
