Blue Gray Paint Color Sherwin Williams – I’m really excited about today’s post because for the first time in years, Sherwin Williams has added 200 new GORGEOUS designer-inspired paint colors as part of an exclusive new single coat/self-priming paint collection called Emerald Designer Edition. . These colors and shades are now Sharon Williams’ best interior color range.
Before I go into details, I want you to know that this post is in no way a sponsored post. I’m just a paint geek excited to share with you what I learned while researching this new line for my client project.

This is because the Emerald Designer paint line is made with a completely different “ultra white base” so if you want those specific colors for other SW colors you won’t get that color because the other white bases are perfect. . different

Sharon Williams noted in her press release for the new collection that they created the new colors at the request of interior designers who wanted brighter whites, more sophisticated greys/beiges and more muted tones. Because of the bright white base, the SW seems to capture these colors better.
When I first saw it on the fan deck I was squeamish because Sharon Williams chose it and clearly tapped into what the designers were looking for when developing this new collection! Any paint color is better than a bar chart!
I already define many colors for my clients and I want to share my most favorite colors from the new collection to inspire you.
At the top of my list is the Forged Steel SW9565. I can only tell you that we will be seeing a lot more of this color because it is good! Ironically, I was trying to get a really nice deep charcoal color with a custom build and could never get it right. Sherwin Williams developed the dream brown/grey/charcoal color combination I wanted for a project, and it’s perfection!

By the way, the other colors I added to the collage above are from the fake steel paint. I’m in love with all of the tape colors and often work from tape to make sure all the colors in the space work together (upholstery, door color, cabinets, walls, etc.).
Wrought steel is ideal for dark walls, cabinets and interior doors. I’m actually going to use this color throughout the house for all the front doors on a client project I’m working on. Isn’t it wonderful?
Very close to my favorite rooted steel is this beautiful deep earthy green called Succulent. My God!! It is very beautiful! By the way, this color palette is amazing too!
Sherwin Williams used Succulent in this space beautifully on the cabinetry in a color from the new SW White Sail collection (I love that subtle white).
The Best Dark Paint Colors
Another favorite I can’t wait to try is Gild Grey, which is actually a very light color on a faux steel color band. I think this color makes a perfect home wall color in certain lighting conditions.
Gild Gray reminds me a little of the cool Repose Green. I think the gilded green would be great in a house with lots of natural light. Brighten/brighten with a hint of wall color.
I’m also excited to use Serenely and all the other colors in the Serenely paint palette. It’s just a lovely muted blue that doesn’t have much color.
I also like Whisper, which is the color of the dark wall below. Also pay attention to the color of the white bricks! It’s called White Sesame and it’s a very dense light warm green.

As for the quality of the new Sherwin Williams Emerald Designer Edition paint, I have heard really great things about the product from several different painters I work with who have tested it. While it’s certainly more expensive than traditional emerald paint, the great news is that it’s a one-coat paint that works on its own, so you won’t need to cover the room by using less in the long run. Color.. I also love that this line comes in a nice flat!! Such great news as I prefer to use flats in my clients projects as it makes such a difference on the wall.
