Are you looking to add some color and personality to your home with paint, but want something calm and almost neutral? These three colors from Benjamin Moore are my favorite colors to try first. They all contain colors found in nature, so they provide a beautiful background for many other bold colors!

Revere Pewter is a darling of the gaming world. Not really gray but not really beige, it’s a warm neutral that gives walls a fresh look and a pop of color against white trim (for the best white trim color, check out this post ). This beautiful neutral works in many rooms – bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms for an airy look paired with other neutrals and whites, a soft blush or spa look, a sophisticated look and elegant combined with black or rich wood tones. , and a tailored look combined with classic blue and red.

Our Favorite Exterior Colors

If you want a soft blue sky, then Constellation is a complex light blue. It’s a much smaller step towards a warmer/green blue than the lavender/lavender blue, and it doesn’t have that aggressive-blue-nursery-blue vibe you’re avoiding! It is another versatile color for public and private spaces and evokes water and sky.

This is my favorite among the light greens. Also, a complex shade closer to the warm/yellow side of the green spectrum than the sage/blue. And green is the ultimate eco-neutral! This shade works well with garden color combinations, rich warm wood tones and other shades of green and blue! This is the color we used in our Divas Vintage Glamor Den challenge room makeover! (You can read about the 8 week transformation here)

Whether you’re planning a home for sale or looking for a soft, relaxed color palette to flow through the main areas of your home, these 3 colors work well together. They are all complex colors and therefore lack the intensity of pure colors, making them soft and easy to live with and the perfect foil for almost any bold color.
