RGB stands for red, green, and blue, the primary colors of light used in monitors, television screens, digital cameras, and scanners. CMYK refers to the primary pigment colors: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. “4-color process printing”, often referred to as “full-color printing” or “four-color printing”, are also the inks used in the printing press.

Simply put, CMYK is a color mode designed for inkjet printing, such as business card designs. RGB is a color mode designed for screenshots.
The more colors added in CMYK mode, the darker the result. The more colors added to RGB, the brighter the result.
The numerical range of CMYK is 4×100; The numerical range of RGB is 3×256. The vivid colors that RGB can create are therefore difficult to reproduce in CMYK.
The biggest mistake you can make when designing is forgetting to convert to the appropriate color mode for your project. If you forget to do this, the colors may look washed out or too colorful.

Some problems will occur during conversion and editing. Therefore, the best way to solve the problem is to design according to the CMYK model! Print-ready PDF files are required from customers for print projects. One of the most important features of PDF Ready for printing is that it is in CMYK color mode. However, one of the most common questions is:
Before we get into the technical process, it’s important to understand why it’s so important to have your files in CMYK. When preparing files for a print project, you should always be aware of the color mode of all files. This applies to your images, graphics and final PDF. Your product should be designed in CMYK color mode whenever possible.
CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key (Black). If you don’t save your product in CMYK, it will automatically convert your design from RGB. RGB stands for Red, Green and Blue – This is the color mode in which you see everything when you watch it on all monitors. Your phone, computer, tablet, TV, etc. are all RGB.
Color printing is also known as four-color printing, full-color printing, process printing, and CMYK printing. Four-color printing involves dividing all colors into 4 different color values (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black).
Color Fundamentals: Understanding Rgb, Cmyk + Pantone
CMYK printing is an additive color process that uses ink or toner. RGB is a subtractive color adjustment based on brightness. When you overlay layers of physical color ink, they kind of blend together. When you add layers of colored light, they blend completely differently. For example, in the image below, you can see that in the middle of the RGB diagram, all the RGB colors merge into white. When all CMYK colors are combined, they form the key (black).
Color changes often occur when RGB files are converted to CMYK for printing on a four-color printer. Usually these changes are small, but they can be a problem, especially if your project is color sensitive. Similarly, if you upload a CMYK image to the Internet, you will also see color changes (example below).
When you save your images and graphics from the internet, you should remember to convert that image to CMYK (and check that it’s high enough resolution, but we’ll save the resolution for another day). This is because the CMYK gamut, and more specifically the custom color profile, is smaller than the RGB gamut. Gamut refers to the maximum range of colors for a color space. RGB has a larger gamut than CMYK, so color changes will occur when converting from RGB to CMYK.

The Technicalities Of Color
One of the biggest decisions you’ll have to make before designing your next brochure is what type of binding to choose. Many factors determine which type of binding is best, such as the number of pages and the purpose of the book. You should ask yourself questions like:
