As many readers know, I love Disney and when a YouTube subscriber recommended this book to me, I couldn’t pass it up. It’s not just Disney, it’s also French, so now I have a French coloring book for my worldwide collection.
Disney Launches Its Own Adult Coloring Book App
I love color-by-number books because they take the stress out of thinking about color combinations for colors that are unsure of their color palette. When you’re stress-free, you can paint for it and experience the different colors and how they work together from the finished project. This adorable Disney coloring book is color-by-number, and unlike most color-by-number books, the line art is crisp and easy to see, suitable for a wide range of colors.
The front cover features partial color images of Snow White, Bambi and Thumper. You’ll see line art and numbers in the background, indicating that this is a color-by-numbers book. The back cover shows only the color palette and line art of the publisher’s publication.

A plain text title page begins a blank book on the back. This is the only place to test your media to see how they react to the paper and your color style.
There are 7 pages of color pictures at the end of the book so you can see what the finished page will look like.
The line art is printed on both sides on medium quality, soft white paper. Most coloring books use light gray for color-by-number books, but the line art is black and crisp for both line and number. This means that lines will usually appear when the image is finished.
All pages are numbered so that the image can be cross-referenced with the color images in the back of the book.

At the bottom of each page, the color palette is presented in a cute set of icons that look like little apples (no doubt a reference to Snow White on the cover).
Each frame also has colors pre-printed on the image. Usually the details are very small and often include facial elements such as eyes or claws. Normally, I’m not a fan of color pre-printing, but in this book it’s very minor and doesn’t detract from the look of the entire piece being in color.
All illustrations have a thick border around them to ensure the illustration is well framed and to avoid the spine of the book.
The line art in the coloring book reflects the iconic images from the lovely fairy tales. You can paint Aladdin, The Jungle Boy, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmatians, Beauty and the Beast, Dumbo and Alice in Wonderland.
Best Colored Pencils For Adult Coloring Books
The book has different levels of complexity, with some images having much smaller spaces than others.
Colorists with mild vision impairment will be happy with thick black lines, but may find narrow lines too much. One thing I noticed is that most of the spaces are the same color even if they are divided into small parts. This means that even if you are not completely accurate in coloring between the lines, you are more likely to paint the right color.
