Does Sherwin Williams Color Match – I’m really excited about today’s announcement because for the first time in years, Sherwin Williams has added 200 new BEAUTIFUL designer-influenced paint colors as part of a new single coat/self-priming paint collection in the range called Emerald Designer Edition. These colors and paints are now Sherwin Williams’ best-in-class paints.
Before I get into the details, I want you to know that this post is in no way an endorsement post. I’m just a painter who wants to share with you what I’ve learned researching this new line for my clients’ projects.
Does Sherwin Williams Color Match
These 200 new colors are exclusive to the Emerald Designer Edition color and cannot be used with other Sherwin Williams colors. This is because the Emerald Designer color line is made with an “ultra white base” which is completely different, so if you are looking for these special colors for other SW colors, you will not get the same color as the other white bases are perfect. different
How To Match Paint Colors To Print Colors Easily
In their press release for the new collection, Sherwin Williams said that they created the new color based on requests from interior designers who wanted white. A light, complex gray/beige with muted tones. Because of the white base, the SW seems to achieve these colors better.
When I first looked at the Fan Rack, I was amazed that Sherwin Williams got it right and clearly played with what the designers were looking for in developing this new collection! All lacquer colors are off the list!
I have already defined many colors for my customers and I wanted to share my favorite colors from the new collection to inspire you.
At the top of my list is forged steel SW9565. I can tell you right away that we will be seeing a lot of this color because it is so good! Surprisingly, I tried to get a really good charcoal color by mixing it naturally and still couldn’t get the color right. Sherwin Williams made the dream brown/gray/charcoal mix I wanted for the project and it was perfect!

However, the other colors I added to the above installation are from the wrought steel color palette. I love all these colors in a piece and usually work from one piece to make sure all the colors in the space work together (pantry, door color, cabinets, walls, etc.).
Forged steel is suitable for cold walls, wardrobes and interior doors. In fact, I will be using this color throughout the house for all the interior doors on a project I am working on. Isn’t it amazing?
Right behind my favorite fake steel of all time is this awesome green slime called Succulent. Oh my God!! How beautiful! However, this color scheme is amazing too!
Sherwin Williams used succulents in this part of the cabinet along with a color from a new collection called SW White Pal (I love this white b).

Another favorite I can’t wait to try is Gild Grey, which is actually a lighter shade of faux steel. I think this color will paint the entire wall of the house in some lighting conditions.
Guild Gray reminds me of the great Repose Grey. I think guild gray is good in a home that doesn’t have a lot of natural light. It will light up according to the color code on the wall.
I like to use Serenely with all the other colors in the Serenely palette. It’s just a muted blue color without much shimmer.
I love Whisper, the dark color of the bottom wall. Also notice the white brick color! It’s called a white mole and it’s a creamy gray color.
Can Sherwin Williams Color Match Benjamin Moore?
As for the quality of the new Sherwin Williams Emerald Designer Edition paint, I have heard great things about the product from various painters and have given it a try. While it’s definitely more expensive than regular emerald, the good news is that it’s a one-coat color, so you don’t need as much to cover a room, saving you money in the long run by using less paint. I also love that this line comes in a flat towel!! This is great news as I love using construction when working with clients as it makes a difference on the wall.
