With so many green paint colors at your disposal these days, the saddest part by far is painting the walls. Then comes the question of deciding which shade you will work with.

But the good news is that you can actually work with more than one shade. The images at the top of this post prove it. You can choose your color (green in this post) and then choose to paint all the walls in different shades of that color scheme. It’s what’s called a monochromatic color scheme, and it’s a really effective way to bring calm to a space.
It doesn’t mean the walls are gone. I recently did a green wall in one of the bedrooms and drew the wall coverings in the Dulux dictionary. So I can get high contrast moment between green and white as before. You can go monochromatic on a journey through a green or dust-soaked room and your eyes turn green.
I also like that the green background has been supporting the indoor plant movement since I got into the botanical trend a few years ago. As the images in this post also demonstrate, green doesn’t necessarily mean earthy, charcoal-rich browns.
Another thing this glorious Dulux Green paint brings to the exterior. It’s fair to say that we Australians are obsessed with blurring the lines between indoors and outdoors. And green will really help you do that.
