Farrow And Ball Bancha Colour Match – Yai Buncha Green. Let me praise you. You have enough yellow to stay sophisticated, but enough blue to stay funky…dare I say funky. Today, I want to show you a sneak peek at this slightly masculine, earthy and classic green color. While we’re at it, may I recommend a color combination or two that really makes Buncha Green pop!
In case you missed it, this site was completed as part of the One Place Contest. I thank Linda for her great effort in organizing this event and I look forward to seeing the revelations at the end of the 8 weeks.

As for the ‘before shots, this is definitely one of the nicest I’ve come across… In fact, I think the more color-conscious among you will prefer this gorgeous shade…

And by “more” I really mean “progress” because there is only 1 coat on the top half of the wall, but you get the idea.
I have to be honest with you. I don’t like any color green. There is a whole range of “army greens” that I don’t really find attractive. In my opinion, however, Bancha has enough richness and depth to avoid all military camouflage.
I want to show you some photos I took recently to show you how the room changes depending on the angle and time of day.
In case you’re wondering, the color of the McGuire chair is Rangwali and it was lovingly restored by Ronni Logan, my business partner who you’ll hear more about in the next week or two.

If purple/pink customs aren’t your thing, check out an old bank to check it out. The yellows and browns sing with the band and feel decidedly more MCM.
Thank you so much for participating in this fun development plan. Don’t forget to check out the other contributors and I’ll be happy to show you how we’ll be putting up the furniture soon!

After years of renting, born and raised Londoner Ashia moved her family to the south coast to get on the property ladder. Their money bought them a custom three-bedroom house that they painted in their own style, one bold color after another.
Home Stories: Why did you choose to settle in Hastings? Ashiya: When we had our daughter we rented a one bedroom flat and we would have got a bigger place but the prices in London are crazy. We had a moment of insight and thought, “Why don’t we look somewhere by the sea that is cheaper to buy?” I was at Brighton University, so I knew I loved the beach from a friend who lived in Hastings. We only came a few times during the summer, quit our jobs and went just for it. That was a year ago.
It was the best decision of our lives, especially with the locks. When I felt better, I went to sit by the sea. There are all kinds of festivals that take place here and we have yet to experience the best. We love how quaint it is and the community feel – it’s such a great place to live and the people are really friendly. It didn’t feel like a last resort. I will always be a Londoner, but we absolutely love Hastings.

What was it about this house that attracted your attention? We were very lazy and saw only half a dozen places in total. The house is so light and bright as it is on the top of the hill. Some of the layers are reduced so it’s amazing. We are at the end of the terrace which is great with our baby and her baby and the size we can get for our money is different.
What is your job? Considering it dates back to 1885 we were really lucky. The investigation did not reveal anything significant. It used to be a house and all painted white with original floorboards. It is generally in good condition, but many of the original features have been lost, so our mission is to restore character and charm through color.
I think living with white walls in rentals for so long is why we have become so color heavy. As soon as I saw Farrow & Ball’s Bancha, I knew we had to have it. I love plants – my mother is a florist – and greenery almost makes you feel like you’re outside. And the black and brown tones of the furniture we have inside are like the roots of the tree. I’ve tried Farrow & Ball color matches before, but this is the real deal.
Hastings has a great reputation for vintage, what treasures have you found? Oh, yes, we’re so lucky in that regard – I rarely shop at any big box stores for anything. Our TV is on a very old bag which was £35 – very happy with it. I love mid-century furniture and the dresser in our bedroom is from 20th Century Funkin Junk (in reflection below).
The Most Instagrammed Paint Colours Revealed
What are your favorite places to shop locally? George Street in the old town has lots of antiques and small independent shops, and St Leonards-on-Sea has great places too. Bexhill-on-Sea Sivyers Antiques is an incredible shopping complex, I picked up a few horse onyx mounts from there and I tend to want everything there! The past and the present are great.
How would you describe your taste? Are you a modboarder? More is more for us, I would say we are maximalists! We will choose things that make us smile or something that has a memory. This house is an expression of both our lines. I’m of mixed heritage, so we have old English style in the dining room, but mostly black and Caribbean artists in our backyard. I don’t do moodboards but before I start decorating I will head over to Pinterest and look at the color first and then decide what will look good with it.
What inspires you? Most of all, nature and travel. A small thing like the waves that I saw when I saw in Lisbon or a color in Marrakech will remind me. On Instagram, my current favorite items are Pieces London and from 1859 – everything they pump looks amazing. Biz Lemons R. Sweet’s use of color is amazing and inspired me to come up with affordable art. Also, Black Homes UK, because when I started my account I felt there was very little representation of black interiors, so it was great to shine a light and from there I met some people with It was really nice to meet you.
Tell us about your dark dining room… It’s Farrow & ball Preference Red and sometimes I wonder if it’s too dark but I love it. It’s a work in progress, but the theme is like a country pub. I spent a lot of time going to the pub with my grandparents on summer holidays in the country, so it’s about making me feel warm and welcome. We have very old English pictures on the wall so it’s old world and reminds me of them and a pub roast.

We’re not even half way there yet! We want to paint the exterior to go with our orange door. And lighting is a big thing this year, all the kids are hanging out and in their place and hopefully in the kitchen because that’s not our style so I want to do that.
Finally, what does home mean to you? This is our family’s first home so there is stability almost every year after moving
