I can’t help but notice how different it is for me this time. A year ago, my deadline was number 1. And honestly, I don’t even remember the process. I think I was at peace with my first miscarriage at that point. As sad as it is, I have found that this happens sometimes. I think it was okay because I didn’t think it would happen
Due Date After Miscarriage
Instead of packing at work and making sure my hospital bag is packed, I’m going to have my third IUI tomorrow. I don’t forget:
It should be i know It is dangerous to go there. Who has the right to say what it should be? I am not God; I have no right to speak of “must” at all.
And even though I’m not heavy and I’m doing pretty well, there’s still an underlying sadness that I carry with me. For what it should be.
No, I wasn’t. I talked about tomorrow. I told him about Friday. I told her how I live my life in 2-week blocks: from the 1st day of my cycle to ovulation to the 2-week wait; every 2 weeks i can eat turkey and drink coffee and get decent exercise. I told her how exhausting this rollercoaster was: every menstrual cycle comes with a double cycle of hope-possibility-fear-disappointment-resistance-hope…
It’s My Due Date And Still No Baby! What Should I Do?
She did what a good friend would do: cried with me, hugged me, told me how sad it was that I had to go through this, and prayed for me.
She said one thing in her prayer that really touched me: she prayed that I would “look to the future and not get stuck in the present.” This really struck me because we are often told to do the opposite: focus on today and not look too far into the future. But I understood what he meant.
Right now, the moment hurts. Sometimes it seems hopeless. Like it never changed. But hope looks to the future; hope believes that things can and will change. That things are not always like this.
That’s why I try to live in the moment and have hope for the future. I get it, I think. Some days I do better than manage; few days – worse.
From A Pregnancy Due Date Group
Instead of packing for the hospital this Friday, I’m packing bags that hold something a little different for all babies: my bathing suits. Sun protection. sandals Summer clothes (which by the way are too tight thanks to that damn Clomid).
A generous friend invited me and some girls from work to a house he rented on Anna Maria Island, Florida. And he also paid for my plane ticket.
When I think about it, I am struck by God’s concern for me. I knew Friday would be tough. He knew that when I was at home in my usual environment, I would only think about what I should be.
I will miss J. for sure, but I won’t lie. There’s something nurturing and healing about getting away with the girls at a beach house. It’s no substitute for not having a baby, but if I have to be somewhere, Anna Maria Island isn’t a bad alternative. Take out some of the rocks.
Pregnancy Due Date Calculator
Part of me doesn’t want to think about it or remember what Friday is. The other part of me doesn’t want to forget.
In what I think is a fair compromise (at least that’s what J says), I bought something that reminded me, but didn’t overwhelm me. (And by the way, I should have a Mother’s Day present this year.)
Another friend of mine had an origami owl party and I was trying to stick to a budget so I had no intention of buying anything. But it suddenly dawned on me that this really was the perfect way to remember and keep hope alive at the same time.
The golden November stone is for baby number 1; the october rosestone is for baby number 2. And “hope” is – well, that’s my word of god for this year – and i don’t want to forget that either.
When Will My Baby Be Born? How Accurate Is Your Due Date?
So tomorrow I bring #1 and #2 with me for IUI #3. I’m taking them to the beach on Anna Maria Island this weekend. I will always carry them with me. I’m debating whether or not to confess publicly today, and even though I know I don’t have to do or feel anything…
