Quality Seriously lacking Kayla We have a number of other Hemnes pieces that are now over 10 years old. They are amazing. Solid wood, good quality, no problems. We bought this thinking it would be “similar” to the one we already have and it’s nowhere near the quality of the old stuff. I didn’t fully realize this until I put one of the old shelves next to the new one. The new thing is that the wood is thin, MUCH lighter and looks very small in comparison. I’m struggling to put this together too. I’ve built tons of stuff over the years, including kitchens and built-in cabinets, so I’m sure it’s not a user issue (!). The dowels were loose and twisted in the pre-drilled holes, a couple of the cam locks bent when attached, and overall it was a big let down in the quality department. Most panels come with minor scratches and the black/tan color seems to show more scratches and stains than our old gray/tan. I’m sorry, I can’t give advice.1

Some of the peg holes were too big and some were too small. One of the drawers in the unit is more difficult to close than the others. Inconsistent quality control. Once the devices are installed, they look great. Luckily I bought them on sale because regular price is not worth it.3

After hours of assembly, we are really disappointed with the quality. 1

Good value Kitty Looks good. It takes a long time to compile. The top 2 drawers are not properly centered. Certain front cabinets are not painted inside. This product has been sold possibly due to this discrepancy. The cupboard floor could use better support. I can see the weight of the garment causing it to pull back overtime. It’s a good price.
