Joanna Gaines Gray Paint Colors – When you’re trying to design a new home but aren’t sure what colors will look good, things can get frustrating. Especially if you just bought a house. And every room has 80s floral wallpaper like me! It can also be a pain to go back and forth from the paint store with a color swatch. I feel like there are swaths of human-recognized color every moment as I try to pick out a paint color. What I do is browse Pinterest for inspiration. And try to find a color that matches the room. Of course, each paint color will look different in your room. But I think it’s much easier to see it in color when you actually see it. On someone’s wall? And since I’m a huge Fixer Upper fan, I decided to create a whole house color palette inspired by Joanna Gaines herself. So let’s talk about Joanna’s favorite colors and how she combines them to create them. The house is open, welcoming and transitions are smooth.
Let’s talk about Joanna’s old favorites first, I want to share them first because they’re mine too. I have used these colors in my house and I can tell you they are just as beautiful as the Fixer Upper House! At the start of the Fixer Upper Show, Joanna was very drawn to dusty blues and greens. Very light and airy house color of who I am! So here’s Fixer Upper’s whole house color palette based on Joanna’s favorites!
Joanna Gaines Gray Paint Colors
Let’s start with contrasting colors. The easiest way to make your home more cohesive is to use just one color of nail polish. Joanna often uses Sherwin Williams Alabaster in her ornaments. And sometimes Sherwin Williams Pure White uses just one color to decorate the whole house. And then you have a house where the rooms change from one color to another.
Gray Blue Green Shades
Every home needs a neutral wall color, Joanna likes to use gray in her home for the main space. Her favorites are Sherwin Williams Mindful Grey, Oyster Pearl and Passive Grey. Repost is a shade lighter than Mindful and will look great in open-plan living spaces. A friend of mine recently chose this color for his dining room and open concept living room. And he really likes it! Take a color swatch before painting each wall! 🙂
Switch to good accent colors. Joanna said she really likes the airy blues and greens. I can say without a doubt that Sherwin Williams Sea Salt is one of the most beautiful paint colors I have ever used. No wonder the painting of Joanna and other designers is popular. It’s the perfect blue-green color and looks great in any room. I use it in my bathroom and laundry room!
Sherwin Williams Comfort Gray is not gray at all in my opinion. It is another blue-green color. And I like it! Joanna uses this color in living rooms and bedrooms that need a slightly darker color. But this color never lasts! Suitable for bedrooms or offices.
The master bedroom is the perfect setting for Sherwin Williams Intellectual Grey. This warm color is especially beautiful against wooden floors. Joanna uses this color in her master bedroom. And I never get tired of it! Be careful if your bedroom doesn’t have enough natural light. This color may be an error.
