Light Beige Exterior Paint Colors – , can affect your attitude. The color and intensity of natural light varies depending on where it comes from. If a beige color that looked good in your previous house now looks pink, or your favorite gray looks purple in your bedroom, it could be because you’re comparing rooms with different exposures.
In this article, I’ll teach you how natural light affects interior paint colors (in the Northern Hemisphere, anyway). I’ve also included some suggestions for neutral colors that play well with the light in these rooms. But before we get into the details, let’s look at some important points when choosing interior paint colors…

Exterior Paint Color Ideas For A Beautiful Home
Rooms with north-facing windows tend to be cooler and grayer. Even if there are a lot of windows and a lot of sun, the color of the light will always be cooler. This means that fresh-toned colors (blues, grays, greens and some whites) can feel frosty in a north-facing room. This cold effect can be compensated by warm colors in north-facing rooms or even warm neutral coloring.
Edgecomb Gray HC-173 is a beautiful creamy gray for homeowners who want more gray without being too cold.
Navajo White OC-95 is a light cream polish. In the north room, the bluish light contrasts with the yellow of this paint color, which gives a nice balance.
Grant Beige HC-83, a popular color, is a cool bronze with just a hint of gray. It looks good in a room with good northern lighting.
Paint Colour Review: Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige Sw 7036
Rooms with south-facing windows are filled with warm yellow light as the evening progresses. In the morning, these rooms can be shaded, making the color of the area a bit flat. If your south-facing room is very bright in the evening, a cool or gray tone can help balance out all the warm light. By using warm colors in this place, the visual warmth of the room seems more intense.
Balanced Beige SW 7037 is a beautiful warm taupe and one of my personal favourites. The combination of gray and brown makes it taste better than the more traditional beige. It works well in a room with lots of afternoon sunlight from south-facing windows.
Gray Owl OC-52 is a soft, warm gray that is not frosty. Its color is a bit relaxed in a room that doesn’t get much direct light
Ballet White OC-9 is a light, creamy gray that is slightly warm. This color can bring a lot of light and warmth to a room, but it can be too neutral for south-facing rooms without a lot of direct light.

Rooms facing east (and west) are more difficult to study because the light is less uniform. East-facing rooms have bright and soft light, which is a little warm in the morning. As the sun rises, the light fades in east-facing rooms, and at midday, paint colors can appear a little dull. In the afternoon, rooms with east-facing windows look a little grayer and lower. These areas work best with warm colors. Cooler shades can look a bit drab in the evenings.
Macadamia SW 6142 is a medium light neutral with a golden beige color that doesn’t fall flat in the evenings.
Creamy SW 7012 is one of the few whites that can hold its own in an eastern room. It warms up the place without being too yellow.
Techno Gray SW 6170 is a warm gray with just a touch of green, this color retains its warmth in the cool evening light in an eastern room.

Rooms on the west side have softer light in the morning. After noon, the light gradually appears warmer and brighter, increasing in intensity later in the day. Rooms with western exposure work well with cool, warm colors, but remember that afternoon sunlight emphasizes the strength and depth of warmer tones.
If you have windows on multiple walls, you’ll have multiple exposures (yes!) Consider which window lets in the most light. In general, you want to pay more attention to the main display of the room. The good news is that you have a little more flexibility when it comes to your personal color choice.
A southwest-facing room has warm, bright light that gets brighter in the afternoon, while a northeast-facing room has gray, cool light throughout the day. A room with south-east facing windows tends to have a soft and warm glow all day, bright in the morning, slightly dimmed at midday, intensity of the afternoon sun lit from the east side. Northwest facing rooms tend to be cool and gray throughout the day, with only a little warm light in the evening.

My mom sent us pictures of the process… tall stairs and painting through the window… my dad is a rock star…
We decided to use a darker color instead of the light beige base color. We also felt that a darker color would make the stone pop. This may not seem like a big change to anyone, but for us the darker color made all the difference! My dad is very attentive and did such a great job! What a difference 2 liters of paint can make. We are very pleased with the results.
We chose Benjamin Moore Graphite. It is a very dark charcoal that is almost black. We have a black front door and the color is a little off, which is exactly what we want. He cleaned all surfaces very well and painted two coats with a satin finish.
We also decided to paint the pillars, which were previously a lighter color. Now that they are darker, it makes the stone pop a lot more. The black rocking chairs look much cooler now too!

It’s amazing to me what a little paint can do! We are very grateful, so grateful to our father for doing this job for us. I made sure he had good advice! 🙂 Our house was built 3.5 years ago and my dad said the accent paint needs at least one touch up, so we plan to do these touch ups probably every 3-5 years.
