All suppliers are regularly audited and non-compliant suppliers are subject to immediate corrective action. Working with our suppliers, we are proud to achieve our goal of more sustainable sourcing by 2020. More than 98% of the wood used to make products today is FSC certified or recycled.

Veneers are thin sheets of wood placed over something like chipboard to give it a durable surface and look like natural wood – so we enjoy many of the benefits of wood without using solid wood. The most common types of veneer are birch, ash, oak and beech, and we have developed a special UV varnish that helps preserve the natural texture of the wood.
