The tiny house Terraform One is designed and engineered specifically for year-round living. The larger cottage has a great room that is easily accessible by trailer. Instead of having to go up and down the stairs to fit the tight sleeping space, T1 only has 3 stairs to enter the bedroom. I used a standard window unit for cooling due to financial constraints. Even in the Texas summer, this works fine. You can easily install a small cooling/heating system in the window area, be sure to notify your SIP manufacturer to remove the hole for the AC unit in the rear wall of the project roof. judgment.
For heating, I personally used an ordinary electric heater. This worked well for me during a very cold Texas winter. The house has plenty of room for a gas or wood stove for those who may be in inclement weather, and the house is insulated for all weather conditions.
I’ve saved tons of money in the house. I spent my money on the shell of the house and the trailer thinking that everything inside could always be improved.
