So with that said…let’s get started. I’m showing your favorite blues from darkest to lightest using each color’s LRV (light reflectance value) as my guide. The lower the LRV, the darker the color will appear and feel on the wall.

Indigo Batik is the shade of blue you’d expect from the name – the same beautiful indigo color you’ll find in batik fabric. It might be a little lively for four walls in a room, but in a small category it’s a winner! Best Gray Paint Colours By Benjamin Moore
Blueprint is Behr’s Color of the Year for 2019 and the color I chose to accent my youngest daughter’s bedroom:
A nice mid-blue with a bright face! What I love most is that it goes with any color I put on it, so we’re not limited to the choice of bedding, pillows and other accessories – it works almost like a neutral color. You can see it in my daughter’s boho chic bedroom with some other blue colors we use in her room (like the blue we used to paint her clothes).
Van Cortlandt Blue has been described by Benjamin Moore as a beautiful Old World blue that works equally well in many contemporary spaces. Look at the color strip, it really has something to do with it and I personally don’t know if I would paint all four walls of the room this color but wow – it looks amazing in the laundry room cabinets designed by . Stephanie Gamble:
Benjamin Moore Smoke is one of two blues that wasn’t on my radar for a beautiful blue unless some of you agree. After seeing it in use, I love it! You can see it at work on the closet in Jillian Harris’ beautiful laundry room:
