Revere Pewter By Benjamin Moore In A Real Home
Also known as 973 Ice Formation, Revere Pewter is one of Benjamin Moore’s best-selling paint colors. According to Benjamin Moore, it is “a neutral object that provides the right bridge between warm and cold tones.” This shows that it works with many different colors.
Revere Pewter has a reflectance value of 55.05, which is a colorless color. Not too dark, not too bright.
When painted on the walls, it gives a cool neutral hue, perfect for rooms facing west and south. But it is a beautiful classic color that you can safely use anywhere in your home.
Revere Pewter coordinating colors have a nice look and should also have a low tone. I researched all of Benjamin Moore’s color swatches in different lighting conditions and picked colors that worked well for all of them.
The Best Gray Paint Colors
Don’t let the name fool you. Rainier Gray is a mix of icy blue and cool gray that makes the blue pop on large walls. It’s a medium tone (not too bright, not too dark) and looks great in any room. LRV 59.48
Mountain Feather Gray is also a slightly cooler color than Rainier Grey. As you can see in the photo below, Livia looks great on the sofa, the dark pewter version.
Province Blue is a blue-green color with gray undertones that place it on the cooler side of the spectrum. Revere is a great complementary or accent color to pewter. Great places to use it are bathrooms, laundry rooms, accent furniture, and even closets, as you’ll see below.
Calm is a bright blue mixed with sage and gray. It’s also a great addition to Revere Pewter as an accent wall or in an adjacent room. It is a cool shade and has the same color as Revere Pewter. You can use this color in your bedroom, bathroom, laundry, or office.

Edgecomb Gray is the next light shade of Revere Pewter in the Benjamin Moore Color Palette. Also known as the 972 Alaskan Skies and OC-15 Baby Fawn, this pattern is one of the best-selling neutrals of the year. It is so much that it will be the color of your whole house.
Also known as Nature’s Essentials, 1521 Natural Cream is about 0.5 shade lighter than Revere Pewter. According to Benjamin Moore, it is “a light gray that emphasizes warm and cool color schemes.” It is less yellow than Revere Pewter, but looks like a lighter version when used in the next room.
The lighting in each room is different and in many cases the same color will look different in adjacent rooms. That is absolutely true.
Seapearl is off-white with cool gray undertones. Also known as China White, this color has been a Benjamin Moore favorite for decades. Lighter than Edgecomb Gray or Natural Cream, it’s perfect for rooms with little natural light.
Colors That Go With Revere Pewter Benjamin Moore (2022)
Ashley Gray is basically the same shade as Revere Pewter, but darker. Also known as Waynesboro Taupe 1544 and Shenandoah Taupe AC-36. Also, in some lights like Revere Pewter, it has a slightly purple undertone.
Slightly darker than Revere Pewter, it’s perfect for accent walls and adjoining rooms. This contemporary bedroom is draped in pashmina. I like the contrast with the white bed.
Steam is white, soft with warm, neutral shades. It blends well with Revere Pewter and is not as sharp as other whites.
Silver Satin is a classic white with a slight lavender scent similar to Revere Pewter. If you want a lighter contrast and a whiter shade, Revere Pewter can be used as a sub color. It is one of Benjamin Moore’s best-selling paints.

We always recommend sanding the paint before applying it to the wall. There are several ways to do this, such as painting a section of the wall, painting a small foam board that can go around the room, or using a pattern of bark or sticks.
When choosing paint colors, be sure to look at them at different times of the day, as they look different in different lights. If possible, see how it looks on cloudy days, at night and on sunny days.

Light Reflectance Value is a measure of how much a color reflects. It is represented on a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 is completely black and 100 is completely white.
55 LRV Libyan Pewter is colorless. It’s dark enough that it doesn’t get too dark when bathed in bright light.
RGB describes the amount of each color (red, green, blue) in a color. This is a scale from 0 to 255 for each color. Basically, colors are mixed to create color!
Revere Pewter is a warm shade of greige. It has neutral and earthy tones. There are no yellow or gold tones, but you can see a little green.

Libyan pewter is often called mud paint. This just means that it is slightly brown.
It looks gray in north-facing rooms. The southern rooms look more beige.
Before you take the risk, it’s important to change the color of your walls so that they look good in your real space day or night.
I like medium or medium color depth. This means it looks good even if the room is very bright – it doesn’t fade.

If the room is dark and dark, this color will look black or muddy. Not so good for dark rooms!
This is also a popular choice for gray kitchen cabinets. A case perfect to pair with a Revere Pewter cabinet or display against a white wall.
Revere Pewter is also great for the exterior of the home. It has enough color that strong sunlight cannot wash it off completely. Natural light warms it up and makes it lean more towards beige than gray.
Because this color is neutral, it pairs well with a variety of accent colors. My favorite complementary Revere Pewter colors are Dark Gray and Earth Green.

Revere Pewter isn’t outdated per se, but more and more people are switching their neutrals from gray to white.
Acceptable gray is a lighter tint, a little greener than Revere Pewter, but Revere Pewter is neutral.
