Sage Green Paint Benjamin Moore – Every year at the end of autumn, paint companies choose their color of the year for the following year. Partly marketing hype, partly driven by consumer trends, it’s always interesting to see what they choose.

Surprisingly, the ads for this year’s 5 colors were all shades of green! Perhaps this is a reflection of our renewed relationship with nature as the pandemic has forced a change in routine for most of us. The outdoors has become our place for communication, solace and socialization.

If you are looking for examples of the most popular green paint colors for kitchen cabinets, this post is for you! I searched the internet and collected over 40 real examples of the three major cabinet paint brands: Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams and Farrow & Paul.

Today the color is more popular than ever, and many paint brands have chosen pale green as their color for 2022 (including BM October Mist and SW Evergreen Fog).

Although it’s red now, sage green is a neutral, earthy color found in nature, so you don’t have to worry about it being outdated. I’ve always loved green, especially the lighter, softer kinds, so I’m 100% on board with the recent surge in popularity.

Please note: These examples are a great starting point, but you should always try different samples in your kitchen before making a decision. Colors will vary greatly in different areas, different angles and different lighting. I love and recommend the peel and stick swatches (I used them to choose our latest kitchen cabinet color!)

Texas Sage 1503

In this post, you will find a variety of gray-green color, from dark to light and from warm to cool. Let’s start the inspiration with long-time favorite designer, Benjamin Moore. Here are some of the most popular vegetables for kitchen cabinets:

The color of October for 2022 was chosen by Benjamin Moore, which is the brilliant silver-green October fog. I love it so much, I chose it for our modern Mediterranean kitchen!

In daylight at certain angles, it can read almost gray or blue, while it looks warmer under incandescent light. This is a great option if you are looking for a light, non-saturated green that is not too warm.

Another light grey-green, with warmer/yellow undertones compared to the October fog. You may have seen it in one of the most popular green kitchens on the Internet:

The S&n Collection

It is a true green and is not as likely to be confused with gray or blue as some of the other sages.

You can also see how they look a little different in these photos, further proof that you should always try swatches in person.

One of the darkest examples on this list is the Forest Floor: a deviation in an olive or forest area. It’s still very quiet, and would be a good choice if you want a more versatile sage green.

Flora is a delicious green sage that is lighter and more saturated. It tends to mint green just a touch, but is still neutral enough to be classified as sage.

Historical Paint Colors Making A Comeback

This dark shade is a cross between olive green, woods and sage. It is similar to Pewter Green, but with more shades of yellow (olive).

Sherwin Williams is up there with Benjamin Moore for the most popular paint colors. Personally, I have had great results with the line of urethane polishes on cabinets. Here are examples of Sherwin Williams’ most popular sage green paint colors for cabinets.

Evergreen Fog was named the Sherwin Williams 2022 Color of the Year, and it’s no surprise that it’s one of SW’s most popular kitchen colors right now.

Benjamin Moore Colour Of The Year 2022

Behind Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams, Farrow & Ball is a popular brand of cabinet paint, often used by designers. The choice of its colors is very limited, with an emphasis on rich and sophisticated tones.

One of its most popular colors of all, the Pigeon is a real chameleon. They range from green to blue to gray and even brown, depending on the lighting and angle. You’ve probably come across it at least a few times on Pinterest or Instagram…

Castle Gray has a fair amount of blue, I call it jade green. Farrow and Ball describe it as a “versatile grey-green”.
