For the magnets, I used 8.5″ x 11″ adhesive magnet sheets that I found on Amazon, but they no longer have that size in stock. Instead, I contacted another brand that should work just as well, but I haven’t tried it myself.

As for the cardboard, I recommend using this 80# cardboard. You don’t need anything too thick as it folds over a magnet. The woven texture of the basket gives it a soft and romantic feel.

Peel off the paper from the sticky side of the magnet. Then take a piece of printed cardboard and place it in the center of the magnet. There is no need for perfect alignment as you will cut them in the next step. Make sure all sides except the dates are touching the magnet.
Press the cardboard into the magnet, starting from one corner and slowly moving towards the opposite corner. Then run your (clean!) hands over the save dates to get rid of any bubbles.
Cut your data saver magnets using a pair of sharp scissors or a guillotine paper cutter (cutting too many of these can slowly dull the blade, so don’t use anything too attached to it.)
