Semi Transparent Stain Colors Sherwin Williams
SuperDeck solid and semi-solid exterior paint stains. Providing excellent protection against the weather, cracking or cracking, as well as proven durability and high dirt resistance, this family of products allows the natural texture of the wood to be seen. Solid and semi-solid stains repel water on new or unweathered wood and can be used on wet or dry wood.
Defy Essential Semi Transparent Exterior Deck Stain And Sealer
“Our durable SuperDeck paint primers use Sherwin-Williams VinylSafe® paint technology to provide our customers with a wide range of colors, long-lasting performance and great looks,” says Sinclair. “In addition, our Cool Feel® technology is compatible with this product. This innovative technology reduces surface temperature and provides up to 20 degrees of cooling relief on those hot summer days in the Cool Feel color range.
“Our semi-solid stains have a multi-color look that allows the natural grain of the wood to shine through. Semi-solid semi-transparent makes for a stronger color without completely hiding the grain of the wood like a solid color.
SuperDeck Interior and Exterior Wood House and Deck Deck. Originally designed for log home exteriors, Log Home Stain is a water-based formula that provides a high-quality varnish-like finish. Only two coats are needed for top performance, and it provides easy application and cleanup of water stains. In-shop painting and a four-hour turnaround time allow most jobs to be completed in one day.
UV inhibitors help extend the life of the finish, so the smooth, satin sheen lasts for years. A semi-transparent look is ideal for new wood surfaces. The elegant look is complemented by excellent weather resistance and waterproofing properties, all features that will surely impress your customers, the home owners.
Stain Color Hill Country
“This product brings the charm of a wooden house, and the smooth finish gives it a unique look, whether in a vertical or horizontal configuration, indoor or outdoor,” says Sinclair.
SuperDeck transparent and semi-transparent wood stains. Advanced oil formulations used in clear and semi-transparent wood stains enhance the look of the wood and provide UV protection to resist graying in just one coat. These stains also contain agents that prevent the growth of mold on the surface of the coating. Suitable for use on outdoor patios, doors, siding, fences, shutters, framing and outdoor wood furniture, this stain can be used on treated wood, cedar, redwood, pine, oak and plywood. Your customers will enjoy the rich tones these colors provide, enhancing the natural beauty of the finish for years to come.
“Innovative oil technology combines many of the advantages of natural oil-based stains, such as quick drying, deep penetration and excellent durability, with the advantages of water-based formulations,” says Sinclair. “These benefits include soap and water cleaning, VOC compliance and better color retention.”
Overall, Sinclair is excited to see paint chemistry and science come together to create a product line like SuperDeck that provides real and lasting benefits to contractors and their customers.

Hello friends! Thank you all for your great love for discovering our rural creations. The response has been amazing and we are enjoying our new space…well, we were before this extreme and unrelenting heat wave hit our area and the temperature has been going over 106 for a week now. It will not be tolerated there. Needless to say, I can’t wait for it to go away so we can spend more time outside again. Although it has been very warm lately, we started to feel the heat before we finished the outdoor space during one of the biggest projects of the entire structure, painting the deck. Luckily I was able to do it before the real madness got here. Today I am sharing the process of how I took on the project.
How I Stained Our Deck With Sherwin Williams
The main goal I wanted for our outdoor space was for it to feel like an extension of the interior of our home. I really wanted to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor and I knew that deck stains would be a big factor in contributing to that final result. Although natural redwood is beautiful, I didn’t want it to look or feel like hardwood floors. I love the warm color of our hardwood floors in our home and was hoping to show that off.
Since we used redwood, we wanted to wait a few months after building it to apply a stain or protective layer. This allows the wood and oil to dry properly, so it will accept the stain better and produce a bigger color. The building was completed in February and we let it dry for 5 months before painting it in July. If you’re working with a wood like pine or Douglas fir, you won’t have to wait long (if at all) before applying the stain. After coming up with a game plan for how to tackle the project, I ordered a stain image and materials from Sherwin-Williams.
I used a series of brushes, rollers, steel disc, spray pump and Sherwin-Williams Superdeck Cleaner and Stain to complete the project.
As with any painting project, good results start with a clean and well-prepared surface. I started by taking everything out on deck and sweeping. Then I scrubbed it well. I used SuperDeck Revive Deck and Siding Brightener to clean and wash the deck. This formula is intended for use on new or untreated cedar, redwood or pressure-treated lumber.
Sherwin Williams Super Deck Water Based Stain Reviews: Is It Any Good?
I had help with this part of the project as you have to be careful not to let the product dry on the wood during application. Naomi and I worked in a small area, wetting the area and applying SuperDeck Revive with a pump sprayer.
After applying, she used a brush with polished bristles to scrub the area. Then the bus is standing
