Over the next three weeks, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite colors, organization supplies, and decorations to refresh your home. The top request we received from customers this year was paint color consulting. The coronavirus has everyone stuck at home, staring at the wall and desperately trying to make a difference. This time we will introduce the exterior wall color of the house. Exteriors are popular in certain regions, and painted brick has grown in popularity over the years. If you are painting brick, we recommend Rabio masonry paint. I plan on using it in my new home in the next few weeks.

It’s important to note that lighting, such as natural light and room ambiance, and other materials can affect how colors appear. So while this may be my favorite, it could be very different in your home. I always recommend testing three 2′ x 2′ samples on the wall and leaving them for a few days to see what happens. Outdoor lighting is much harsher than indoor lighting, so if you’re going to choose white, prefer a softer white. Especially in this Texas sun!
Sherwin Williams Grizzle Gray Sw 7068: Paint Color Review
If you’re looking for a color that isn’t too creamy, Snowbound might be perfect for you. Contains gray that is a little duller than white, giving a soft impression. With an LRV (Light Reflectance Value) of 83, this color is slightly less reflective than bright whites such as Pure White (SW) and Simply White (BM). Above 85, the color becomes bright white.
If you want a modern farmhouse look in white, White Dove is the way to go. The warm color makes it a perfect match with wood and stone. The color is a little off-white, a little gray, but on LRV 85 it looks lighter than Snowbound.
Shoji white is read as light gray because it combines gray and cream base colors. Since it is a cream color, it can sometimes turn pink. With LRV 74, Shoji White still looks white but has a creamy consistency and is not too harsh.
If you want to switch to a slightly whitish color, Oyster White might be the best choice. The LRV is around 74, so it’s still white, but the cream and gray base colors give it a warm impression. This color is suitable for homes with a more traditional architecture. This warm white looks beautiful when combined with painted brick, wood, and dark tones.
Best Sherwin Williams Gray Paint Colors
This cream white is recommended for those who don’t like bright white. The LRV is 73, the brightest of the five on my list. The gray and cream tones give it depth, but I think Natural Choice has less gray than Oyster White. This is a great method if you live in a traditional community that fears white people. I’m actually using it in my new house.
I love Repose Gray, a bright and warm gray that doesn’t look too stark or cold. Depending on the lighting, this gray color can appear as an off-white color similar to the colors above. If you want a versatile color that isn’t too creamy, this is a great choice.
I always try to avoid bluish grays unless I want them to look blue, so this is perfect for a nice neutral warm gray. A timeless neutral yet deep color.
This gray is still warm, but a little darker. Perfect for traditional farmhouse architecture and pairs well with wood, black, white and stone colors. If you don’t want beige, but want to give your home a classic feel, this is a great choice.

I love the classic bronze finish and this is the color that comes in paint form. Urbane Bronze is a dark gray with a brownish tint, giving it a bronze appearance. It can look almost black in low lighting, but if you don’t want it to look too black, gray, or brown, this is perfect.
It is an “almost black” coal color. This is suitable for traditional siding homes with white trim or more modern homes. The green of the landscape complements this color.
If you want to feel dramatic, this color is for you. This black has a warm undertone and is less impressive than true black. This color is suitable for both modern and traditional homes.

I guess I wasn’t exaggerating when I saw that I bought 38 mini samples from Sherwin-Williams. Not to mention the cost of gas and time traveling to and from the store.
In my mind, I wanted a light gray house. The problem was finding a paint I liked.

Let me explain the above percentages. You know, this started in my daughter’s room. When I was trying to choose pink (also a difficult color to choose!), I was trying to choose between two colors when my painter (God, I love her) said, “Why don’t they ask” do they strengthen the paint to make it darker? ”Then, I created her room in the pink color I finally decided on. The color is also 125%.
That’s what I’m doing here in gray. I want to enhance the colors that I really like and make them look a little darker or richer. I hope it all makes sense to you. Because sometimes you just need a little bit of a boost to make your paint colors richer. Also, since your home is exposed to so many outdoor elements, hardening the paint can help prevent fading due to weathering, so it’s worth considering when you find a color you really like. I mean…let’s be honest. Fading can happen no matter what.
