Exterior Paint Color Ideas For A Beautiful Home
Firstly, that’s why I always recommend painting large samples in different areas of the painting to get a feel for the color of the paint in different lighting conditions.
Second, I think it’s easier for people to choose paint colors that they’ve already tried and loved.
Isn’t everything easier when you only have a few options? I mean who doesn’t love a good list?
This list of Sherwin Williams exterior colors ranges from light to dark. They are all great exterior colors, you can’t go wrong.
Exterior Color Inspiration
Light French Gray is a wonderful gray paint color, but it’s not as light as the name might suggest. This gray beauty has a medium hue and an LRV of 53, indicating that it doesn’t reflect much light. However, it appears lighter outdoors than indoors. The undertones are very neutral, but there’s a hint of blue that makes it look like a cool-toned lacquer color.
The light gray exterior of the house combined with the bright white of the cladding creates a great modern feel.
Lazy Grey, I don’t think he’s lazy at all. Perfect Gray tries its best to be the perfect blue-grey. Lazy Gray has an LRV of 53, as does Light French Gray. The gray in this color helps balance out the blue undertones so it doesn’t look too blue.
Snowbound is a beautiful off-white paint color. It has an LRV of 83 so you know it reflects light like real snow. Snowbound is a cool paint color with gray tones. Sherwin Williams exterior paint makes the color vibrant and vivid.
Agreeable Gray Coordinating Colors
Affordable beige is the absolutely perfect color if you want the beige look. With an LRV of 58, the beige color available is on the lighter side. So why this perfect beige? Unlike the usual beige shades of yellow, it has brown undertones. Beautiful pale tones make cheap beige lean towards gray, so it’s the perfect neutral beige color for your exterior.

Eiderweiß is a beautiful white lacquer color. The LRV is 73, which means it emits light. Eider White is not as strong as a pure white and has warmth. It’s found in my favorite color palette, along with Mindful Grey, my favorite Repose Gray SW 7015, Dorian Gray and Dovetail, so it’s no wonder I consider it one of the best outdoor whites.

Best Home Decor Paint Colors: Sherwin Williams Comfort Gray
Colonnade Gray is a very interesting paint color. It has brown undertones and gives me warmth. However, it has the potential to look very beautiful. Interesting right? LRV is like Light French Gray and Lazy Gray 53. I consider Colonnade Gray to be a medium shade of grey. If there’s a way to describe this colour, it’s the love child of Repose Gray and SW Agreeable Grey.
Tricorn Black is an absolute eye-catcher outdoors. This mysterious eye-catcher has an LRV of 3. It doesn’t reflect much light, making it a good choice for outdoor decoration. Tricorn Black is the best black color because it has no undertones. So when you think of black, it’s the tricorne.
Display Tricorn Black throughout your home’s exterior or just add pop by attaching it to your trim and front door.
Navy is the closest color to Sherwin Williams, which is a true navy blue. This blue beauty may only have a LRV of 4, but that doesn’t matter on the outside. The Naval has an almost velvety appearance that gives it the most luxurious feel.

Using Naval outside of your home is sure to turn some heads. Of course in the best sense.
Ellie Gray is a beautiful gray paint color. It’s like a light to medium gray with a perfect balance of cool, warm and cool tones. Its LRV is 40, which is in the middle of the spectrum. Ellie Gray Outside is a good choice if you don’t want a too cool gray color.
In the image below, Ellie Gray is used as the base color with Eider White on the crown molding and Gauntlet Gray on the shutters.
Gauntlet Gray is a unique paint color. This dark gray has an LRV of 17. But it shouldn’t be a problem when used outdoors. Gaunlet Gray has brown-taupe undertones and is a cooler color. If I had to describe Gauntlet Grey, I’d say it’s the perfect charcoal grey.
The Best Home Decor Paint Colors: Mindful Gray
Gauntlet Gray works wonders outdoors. Pair it with an off-white finish to really stand out.

Second, if you choose a Sherwin Williams exterior color, keep in mind that the color will appear lighter on the outside. Because it’s outside in the sunlight. So first, choose some colors you like and some dark shades. You’ll be surprised how bright some dark colors can look.
