Sherwin Williams Repose Gray Bedroom – Repose Gray by Sherwin Williams is one of the most popular grays for a very good reason: it works almost anywhere. No matter the home style, lighting or style, Repose Gray makes it all look great.
Repetitive gray is the color most likely to make you feel uncomfortable or out of place. It is a slightly warm brown with a very light taupe. While there’s no such thing as true green, this color comes close! Like all paint colors, it will look different in every room – but it always works.

For example, in a North-facing room with greenery (trees, bushes, etc.) outside, the paint will choose that exercise and it will be great.

Depending on the lighting, you can also take pink clothes in the paint. Purple produces the most beautiful and vibrant purple.

Whenever you choose a new color, you should first test the right color in your home!
The easiest and fastest way to do this is to Samplize! I only use it for color samples. No mess, no paint pots left. Plus, this no-mess peel-and-stick size is made from real paint, easy to move around the room and easy to store for later!
Our Favorite Paint Colors
Almost any color imaginable will look good in Sherwin Williams Repose Grey. However, the company has shown these three colors especially for color combinations:
I think Repose Gray and Revere Pewter are two of the best home paint choices for gray/beige (or greige) interiors. When someone is selling a house, I always recommend one of these two colors for the perfect look. And to be honest, I still choose one paint color for my room. They work well but with warm and cold palettes.
Both colors are good choices if you want to add a neutral color to your entire home palette.
BUT they are not the same. Repose Gray is definitely leaning more towards gray than Reverend Pewter. Meanwhile, Revere Pewter leans more towards greige and taupe.
Choose A Gray Paint For My House
Now for the fun part – let’s see Repose Gray in a real room! While there’s no substitute for drawing swatches on your walls and seeing how they look in your home, this Repose Gray room will give you a head start.
Some colors can work as wall paint, accent paint, or board paint. Gray’s Repose, of course, is one of those rarities.
This kitchen from Number Street Design uses Repose Gray as the kitchen wall paint to complement the white cabinets. It also covers the ceiling, which I really like – it makes the whole room look nice and inviting.
I’ve always loved Jenna Kate at The Home Blog and her kitchen is amazing too. You all know I’m a huge fan of open kitchens, and I love the look of their wood countertops with a Repose Gray backsplash.

Now, let’s take a look at Kitchen Cabinets! This Kitchen for Love is amazing – I love the wood, the marble color, and – of course, the Repose Gray cabinets. This color works well with marble, so it should be on your top-choice list if you’re designing a kitchen with new countertops.
Here’s another example of how Repose Gray is the perfect gray for the kitchen. In this house from Architecture Digest, the kitchen walls are painted Green. It just so happens that it matches the color of the cabinet, namely Eider White and Sherwin Williams, one of the matching colors mentioned above.
If you have an open floor plan and want color for the whole house, Repose Gray is a great choice. It’s roomy enough to keep your home from feeling heavy, but also has enough color to provide visual benefit.
Even if your living room isn’t an open floor plan, Repose Gray still looks great. In this room you can see the hint of green we mentioned earlier, but only. The color is still light gray. I don’t see it often associated with gold, but I don’t care
Our 5 Favorite Interior Paint Colors
Of course, Repose Gray is one of those neutrals you can dream of. You don’t want anything distracting or colorful in the room if you intend to sleep and relax.
For example, this bedroom seems like the perfect place to curl up and relax for a while. There’s so much in this room from Designing Vibes that I love – and Repose Gray serves as the perfect accent.
When choosing a paint color, I’m usually looking for one that allows me to play with free materials. The last thing I want is color possibilities
Use baby blue or green together. And this one is customizable so you can choose the accent color you want!

I’ve rounded up some of the best room decor tools for you. First, you want to see this post I wrote: Bedroom Decorating in 5 Easy Steps. This is the best tool I use to decorate my own living room, and it looks like that 95% of the time! But the problem is if you want it. It’s about knowing the look you want to achieve and a display temperature you’re comfortable with.
Let’s start with the basics. Rooms facing north have a dark light coming from the blue windows, which means the northern lights are cold. Also known to promote good or neutral colors and good roles. When you combine a cool space with cool colors, what do you get? The room looks cool and cool.
Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray Sw 7029: Paint Color Review
. When we moved into one of our former homes, it was painted light gray (Sherwin Williams Crushed Ice). Combined with our dominant northern orientation, the location seemed unbearably cold to me. However, we have friends coming over and love the color. Damn it,
Long story short, if you LOVE cool colors and paint your room gray (you know that popular paint color has a cool texture), you can enhance this simple feature. Also, if you like cool colors then this can be a good thing, but remember, your room will look cold and not ‘inviting and comfortable’. You will need to do a lot of interior work with lighting, patterns, and color schemes to balance your space.
If you’re painting a north-facing room a good paint color, you’ll need light, texture, and color to balance it out.
, this is where things get complicated. Why? Well, you have to find the happy medium between cool northern lights and ‘natural cool gray’ – and that’s where I needed this paint color. And don’t panic when I say that not ALL of these photos show north facing rooms. I rely 110% on my clients’ E-Design photos, so sometimes I just need to use what I have (but most of them are north).
What Not To Do With Monochromatic Paint And Decor
There are many ways to get gray in your northern bedroom without getting too cold. However, remember that if you don’t have big enough windows or a good interior lighting system, no amount of black can save you…
If you don’t have natural light or interior lighting, no amount of black paint can save you.
Why is this important? Because if you have a room facing north AND not enough light, a dark paint color can be too cold, cold and unappealing.
While you still need to fill your space with warm light, style, and benefits, some shades of gray set up northern landscapes better than others…

A very warm green is a rich color with little nuggets of brown (or more) in it. This dark color softens the gray, cuts through the cold background and adds subtle warmth…emphasizes the word
. Why? Because the north room you will be fighting the darkness and trying to move it to the cool side. Actually, not a bad thing if you’re looking for a darker color!
Since it is associated with sunlight, you will find violets
