If you prefer a completely neutral color scheme, choose other shades like grey, grey, beige and white.

I like to think if you photograph this room in black and white – you need a color palette that doesn’t “translate” to a grayscale.
Repose Gray is also a bit darker than acceptable grey. They look great until you put them aside. When in doubt, get a second sample!
Do not mix Alternate Gray and Matching Gray in the same room. They look so similar, you’ll look like you picked the wrong shade. Look for something with strong contrasts!
If you want to wear color, I suggest green or blue. They will contrast wonderfully with the sweet gray while they still have color.

Remove the red and pink tones below to match the blue-green tones of Gray well.
Change the gray to a tint of blue or green, giving it a cooler tone than a similar gray. You’ll see this especially in a north-facing room that receives cooling light that creates soothing tones.
Repos Gray is a warm gray due to the large beige tones. However, the green tone keeps it from being too bright or too bright.
Repose Gray is more of a gray than brown, where gray is the main tone and brown is the accent. It also has blue and green tones that make the gray look better than the brown.
What Is A Good Accent Color For Repose Gray?
Repos Gray’s calm green tones mean it doesn’t clash well with the yellow tones in the honey oak chest. Go to Acceptable Gray instead.
With curtains, you always want something different, so gray doesn’t fit. A good choice is pure white, dark gray or deep shades of accent colors like blue, dark tea, dark brown or dark green.
Reposa gray is very light – especially in large or bright rooms. It won’t be dark unless you compare it to white or almost white.

Choosing The Perfect Gray Paint Color
This article covers the RGB and LRV values for each color. RGB represents the amount of Red, Green and Blue in each color. In the LRV scale, O absorbs all light (black) and 100 reflects all light (white).

SW Agreable Gray is a popular color choice and is a warm shade of light gray. If you’re deciding between this color and a reproduction gray, gray is acceptable as the warmer between the two.
SW Repose Gray is another popular color option in the gray range, but a bit cooler than the acceptable Gray. It’s the selection for the Pottery Barn Kids – Fall/Winter 2019 collection.

This color is a cool mid-tone gray with a hint of blue. SW Light French Gray is in the historic color collection and is a good neutral choice for interiors and exteriors.
SW Mindful Gray is darker than Repose Gray and lighter than Dorian Gray. It stays on the bright side of gray tones, and displays well against white trim and white furniture. This gray has a hint of red rather than green and blue, but it is neutral.
SW Amazing Gray is a warm gray, darker than earth gray. This color works well against the white border and is a strong choice for interiors and exteriors.

SW Comfort Gray belongs to the green family, a shade darker than Sea Salt. I chose this color for its blue vibe, perfect for beach decor.
SW Online is a great neutral color choice. This color can show blue in certain lighting and pairs well with cool or warm colored furniture.
