Repose Gray: Sherwin Williams Repose Gray Review
973 Also known as Ice Formation, River is one of Peter Benjamin Moore’s best-selling paintings. According to Benjamin Moore, it is “a symbolic neutrality that provides a versatile bridge between warm and cold extremes.” It shows that it works with many different colors.
Revere Pewter has a brightness value of 55.05, which means it is a medium shade. Not too dark, not too light.
Although it is painted on walls and looks best in west and south facing rooms, it has a cool neutral color. But it is a beautiful and luxurious color that can be safely used anywhere in your home.
In addition to their beautiful appearance, coordinating colors for Revere Pewter should also have cool undertones. I examined all of my Benjamin Moore paint samples in different lighting scenarios and chose a few colors that would work with it.

Don’t let the name fool you. Mt. Rainer Gray is a mix of icy blue and cool gray and the blue definitely pops on a great wall surface. It has a medium tone (not too light, not too dark) and will be nice in any room. LRV 59,48
Mt. A little cooler than Rainer Grey, Feather Gray is also a medium shade. As you can see in the picture below, it looks great with the sofa which is a darker version of Afon Peter.
Province Blue is a medium green with a hint of gray that puts it on the cool side of the spectrum. It is a great complement or color to Revered Pewter. The best places to use them would be in the bathroom, laundry room, vanity, or even a cabinet, as seen below.
Calm is a light blue with a mix of green and gray. And it’s a complementary color to Revered Pewter either as an accent wall or in an adjoining room. It has a thicker undertone and similar depth of color to Rev Pewter. You can use this color in the bedroom, bathroom, laundry room or office.
Our Favorite Paint Colors
Edgecomb Gray is another lighter shade of Revere Pewter on the Benjamin Moore color palette. Also known as the 972 Alaskan Skies and the OC-15 Baby Fawn, it is one of the best-selling inflatables year after year. It can be the color of the whole house because it is very versatile.
1521 Also known as Nature’s Essentials, Natural Cream is half a shade lighter than Peter’s River. According to Benjamin Moore, it is “a light gray that compliments warm and cool color schemes”. It has an undertone that is slightly more yellow than river pewter, but if used in the front room it will look like a lighter version.
The lighting in each room is different and often the same color will look different in adjacent rooms. That’s right.
Seapearl is white-white, cool gray. Also known as China White, it has been a popular Benjamin Moore color for decades. It’s brighter than Edgecomb Green or Natural Cream, so it would be great for a room that doesn’t get a lot of natural light.
Here It Is! A Palette For No Fail Paint Colors
Ashley Gray is basically the same bottom as Afon Peter but darker. Also known as Waynesboro Taupe 1544 and Shenandoah Taupe AC-36. And in some of the lighter ones, like Afon Pedr, there is the faintest glow of purple undertones.
Slightly darker than Revere Pewter, it would be good for an accent wall or adjoining room. This sophisticated bedroom is painted with pashmina. I love the contrast of the white bed.
Steam is a clear, soft white with a warm neutral base. It blends well with Revere Pewter and not with other whites.
Silver satin white is classic, with the same lavender tint as peter river. If you want a more subtle contrast with a white color, it can be used with Revere Pewter as a design color. This is one of Benjamin Moore’s best selling color palettes.
Accessible Beige: The Neutral Beige You Need In Your Home
I always recommend testing any color before putting it on your walls. You can do this in a number of ways, including taking a test color sample by painting a section of your wall, painting a small foam board that can be moved around the room, or using a paint sample and a stick.
When sampling colors, always look at them at different times of the day as they will vary depending on the lighting. If possible, see how they look on a cloudy day, at night, and on a sunny day.
Skin and cheek swatches are my favorite way to sample colors. why? Because they are so easy to use, made with real paint, they are reusable, and you don’t need to wash the paint brush. I have used them myself and love them. Get them here: Patterns of Light Colors and Stiking
