That’s because not all whites are created equal. Paint color is always influenced by its undertone, lighting in the room and other colors around it.

What’s important first. You may be reading this post and wondering if the color white even fits in your home for your lifestyle. Maybe you have young children or an older dog who seems to make a mess just by breathing.
If you’re reading this and think white walls are giving you hives or panic attacks, don’t do it. Don’t paint your walls white. There’s no point in dealing with your peace of mind. Wait until your child is older or your dog is less aggressive.

The white color you choose for your walls depends on whether you want a warm white or a cool white. Remember that warm whites are more beautiful and cool whites are brighter. So it really depends on how you want your space to feel.

South facing rooms have little warm light as the sun shines all day. This means that natural light is yellow-white light and can discolor at least a little. However, most white people can work in a south-facing room, but a cooler white might be recommended to balance out the yellow light.
North-facing rooms have cool blue or gray natural light. You can use a cool white for this room, but it can look cooler and blue-gray and cooler than other rooms. Warm white is recommended in rooms facing north.

Usually, with crown molding, you can safely take a can of white paint off the shelf at your local store and paint your entire home with it. This makes the touch easier because you can grab another can from the shelf if you run out of cans.
But if your overall home color scheme is on the warmer side, or you have a room or two painted in a warmer color, you can opt for a whiter color for your trim that matches those warmer colors better.

According to the gloss rule above, the higher the gloss, the easier it is to clean, I would recommend a gloss or semi-gloss finish for baseboards and trim.
When choosing a white paint color for cabinets, the same rules apply as above, with warm and cool tones. You should keep an eye on the lighting in the room and how you want the room to feel with the cabinets.
When creating kitchen cabinets and walls, it is not necessary to paint them the same white color. You can choose a slightly different white. Or you can choose the same white color and simply use a different gloss for the cabinets (gloss or semi-gloss) and walls (egg shell). This will provide a nice subtle contrast and add depth because the light will hit each light differently.
The same applies here: the higher the gloss, the easier it is to clean the paint. When painting kitchen cabinets, you should choose a gloss or semi-gloss finish. Especially with white paint because you can easily see dirt and spills.
