The most common thing about these two colors is the LRV, or light reflectance value. This number tells you how easily the color bounces, and it tells you the depth of the color – how light or dark the shade is.

Both of these colors have an LRV of 70 because they are the same shade. Combine them in warm parts, cream, white, it’s not surprising the same colors!

If you’ve been around long enough, you know I’m a big fan of white walls. There are four popular shades of white for walls:

Swiss Coffee has become so popular that it is often used by designers, including celebrity designer Shea McGee of Studio McGee (see his beautiful design below). He used 75% of the energy in most of his home. And recently, one of my favorite designers of all time, Nate Berkus, introduced Swiss Coffee as one of his favorite paint colors.

Nate Berkus and Shea McGee are very talented and popular designers, and their recommendations are invaluable. But just because a designer uses and recommends Swiss coffee doesn’t mean it’s the best choice for your home. The appearance of a paint color depends a lot on the lighting and the environment, so it is important to choose paint colors and test them in your home before you decide.

If you’ve read any of my color reviews, you know that tone is the part of color that you can’t “see”. I talk more about tone in this detailed post on choosing paint colors for your home.

If you’ve ever wondered “is Swiss coffee hot or cold?” You are surprised at how it sounds. Swiss Coffee OC-45 is a pale yellow, so it’s a warm color on top.

But most importantly, Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore has a slight green tint, which means it looks green in some light. Between the warmth of the color and the green, Swiss Coffee is my favorite of the usual white wall colors and one that I never use. You can see the greens in this dining room below (at least I can).

Like most tones, the green tone is not very noticeable when looking at a paint chip. But did you know that paint chips from the store aren’t actually made of paint, so they’re not perfect? That’s why it’s important to test paint colors using REAL paint (like paint samples) in your home.

If you’ve ever wondered, “is Swiss coffee too pure?” the answer is no! Swiss coffee is considered white hot because it has a yellow tint to the sample. I personally think it’s more beige than white. Just check out images from Benjamin Moore’s Swiss Coffee space below. I think many people think it is beige or white than white.

The Swiss cafe looks even better in the Studio McGee designed space than the one pictured at the beginning of this post because of the abundance of natural light coming in from those big windows! But there are many people who have houses with a lot of light. I think it looks great in trim when paired with white walls (I love the idea of off-white trim – that’s what we did in our current house).

If you’re looking for a whiter than white, Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee might be right for you. Part of the Color-White Collection. Benjamin Moore describes Swiss Coffee as “absolutely sophisticated and infinitely versatile, the Off-White collection offers the subtle qualities of white that suit calm and quiet environments and create color-enhanced accents for vibrant spaces.”

Let’s see an example! You can see that Swiss Coffee works very well in the Blesser House living room below because it is full of earthy tones. You will also notice that the living room looks less yellow due to the natural light streaming in – the more yellow in the room the less natural light it gets.

Yes! Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore is always a good choice for you, especially if you like green or earthy colors used in your home decoration. If you see colors similar to the ones above that reflect the colors you like to use in your home, then Swiss Coffee could be the perfect color for your home. But if you’re looking for a whiter-than-white white, Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee might be your best bet. However, if you are looking for a bright and pure white, your search should continue.

Many sites report Swiss Coffee’s LRV as around 84, but according to Benjamin Moore, Swiss Coffee’s LRV is 81.91.

LRV, or light reflectance value, measures the percentage of light reflected from a surface. LRVs range from 0-100, where 100 is pure white and 0 is pure black. So, the LRV of the Swiss coffee is very high, but it is lower than its famous friends Sherwin-Williams Pure White, Sherwin-Williams Alabaster and Benjamin Moore White Dove.

Benjamin Moore Hale Navy (hc 154) Review

The main difference between these two paint colors is that Swiss Brown has a slightly more yellow appearance on the walls than Sherwin-Williams Alabaster. Alabaster has the same LRV of 82. If you want a warm, dry white, I would recommend Alabaster over Swiss Coffee because Alabaster is not the same as Coffee. Switzerland.

Also, Swiss Coffee has more yellow than Sherwin-Williams Pure White. Alabaster is warmer than Pure White and Swiss Brown is warmer than Alabaster. Of these 3 whites, Swiss coffee is the warmest/yellowest
