1. The windows have a white, glossy or reflective panel that has a subtle green tint.
2. There is a lot of grass, trees or nature outside the window, which is usually combined with south or west-facing afternoon sun. The sun’s rays can easily catch the green color and reflect on the walls. NEWS ABOUT SUN! According to me, it is requested on the fog in western Canada
3. You chose a gray color with a special blue or blue color that reacts to your warm light bulbs or the golden, southwest-facing light that shines through your windows, turning the walls a shade of green.
When this happens you find yourself in a difficult place to resist and balance the green image on your walls, you want to focus on the warm part of things, use orange, red (pink) and sometimes even purple (it works excellent (if you want colors in the warmer range). But for those who want a cool way, when the sun goes down (not Elton John style), you have a color that is far from your perfect gray.
The Best Home Decor Paint Colors: Mindful Gray
Sometimes we can’t get what we want and have to find a happy way or accept it (insert meditation and deep breathing exercises here). In short, open the windows and call it a day (you can also try a slightly higher kelvin light bulb, although I personally think it’s a bit too bright and difficult for most homes).
All of these grays have tones that will be GREAT depending on how you see them and their surroundings – but this is your best shot at a true gray.
Benjamin Moore Gray Owl is one of the best gray colors. And although you wouldn’t know it when you saw it, in some circles it’s considered a slightly warm gray. But he likes soft tones, especially blues and greens and can oscillate between them (even if it’s not, but that’s just me).
Sherwin Williams Big Chill is my FAVORITE dark gray. The blue tone is PASSIVE, and although in some lighting/situations it can appear orange-green or blue-purple (not annoying), overall it’s a pretty cool, standard gray color.

Just see how it changes when the light is on/off…light on, light on. For oranges … or oranges. Isn’t that a Muppet movie? In all cases.
Oooooh, On the Rocks gives Big Chill a run for its money! And while it CAN pick up any soft tone, purple is satisfying.
In the next photo, Rocks are a GOOD choice because they tie in with the throw pillow, ottoman, and floor. If we had gone with green or blue it would have been bad for the food.
Now, because I use photos from my E-Design clients, with the goal of showing you RELATEABLE, REAL HOMES, I don’t always have photos of the colors I want to share with you. I’m surprised Cliffside Gray isn’t talked about more, and I think it’s more because of its position in the fandom, rather than its lack of popularity. Cliffside Gray is similar to Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray (next). The difference is that Cliffside has more green mixed with its blue color, it’s just a TOUCH muddier.

Oh, I love the French color scheme. And while light brown is definitely more popular, for those who want some depth and body in their walls, the French color can be a GOOD choice. Like a neutral purple color. If you have light in the north you can see that it leans a little towards the purple-blue, but in the south or west it is very soft.
Platinum gray is very nice. It is a soft, medium gray with a slight green undertone. Well, in the picture above, the rug looks like it’s purple, doesn’t it? No, only pictured because the carpet is LEGIT green (my own home).
Chelsea Gray has to be one of the most RECOGNIZED names in the dark world. It’s been around for a while because it’s that bad! Whether it’s for kitchen cabinets and islands, bathroom cabinets, sound walls, ENTIRE ROOM, exterior or doors, Chelsea Gray seems to have you covered!
Classic French Gray is a great choice for exteriors, display walls, kitchen cabinets and more, based on making sure you like how it lives in your home: the sounds and how it relates to the environment around it.
