If you want a more contrasting look, I’d go for a bright white border to give you the contrast you want.

Tone, LRV, north or south facing room and MANY options… How to choose a girl? Scroll down for just a list of the best white paint colors, or read on for some background information and guidance on choosing the right color for your space.
First things first: White paint isn’t true white. To understand this, one must understand LRV.
The light reflectance value, or LRV, of any paint is a number assigned based on the amount of light reflected by that color, where 0 represents absolute black and 100 represents pure white. The higher the number, the more light is reflected.
However, no white paint can actually have an LRV of 100. Sherwin Williams High Reflective White (which is one of the brightest white paints you can get) is 93. Most things have an LRV of 93. 80 and higher is considered white. The “clear white” can range from ~70-80. So you have to ask yourself how much bright white (LRV near 90) or soft white (LRV near 80) you want.

And when it comes to “soft” whites, the less intense the white, the more colors (aka background tones) are added to soften the intense white. “Light white” paint has several additional colors:
First you need to consider the style. In general, the warm white color helps create a feeling of coziness and blends well with traditional spaces. On the other hand, cooler whites can look brighter and more modern. Of course these are just generalizations, but it’s a good place to start if you know you prefer a classic or modern vibe.
Secondly, the natural lighting of the room must be taken into account. North-facing rooms (at least in the northern hemisphere) tend to have slightly cooler lighting, while south-facing rooms tend to have warmer lighting. So if your room faces north, you’ll want to choose a slightly warmer white to balance out the cooler natural light. And vice versa – for rooms facing south.
East or west facing rooms are tricky because the quality of light in these rooms varies throughout the day, but suffice it to say that the sunset light entering west facing rooms can often be orange or pink. It can also be difficult if the light entering your home is filtered by many trees or enclosed buildings that can reflect their colors into your home.

Finally, you have to test the colors in space. White paint is particularly sensitive to the color of the light, the floor and the other elements of the space… That’s why I always try 2-3 colors before committing myself. It’s worth it!
Like I said, it’s important to test paint colors in a real space, especially with white. I’ve never had an issue with paint stains on the walls, but I understand it can be inconvenient at times. Given today’s paint sampling challenges, I’m happy to share a better option.

What Popular Exterior House Colors Sell Best? We Asked Experts
It is the preferred choice of many interior designers. It is a timeless soft white (LRV 82) with a very subtle creamy texture. However, unlike most creamy white paints, the basic tone is more beige or gray than yellow. This creates a beautiful, elegant space that still feels welcoming. It has many similarities to Benjamin Moore’s Swiss Coffee.
A white color very similar to Alabaster but with less yellow undertones (honestly, my husband swears they look the same 😉), Silos White is also cute and welcoming without being too warm for a contemporary or more modern space. farm style.
One of my favorite warm white paint colors, White Duck, is a soft creamy white. It still has a beige undertone, not a true yellow, so it’s a warm to cool neutral. With an LRV of 73, it’s a great choice for white exterior paints because they don’t glow in the sun as much as those with a higher LRV. In general, exterior paint colors are lighter than interior paint colors. As an interior color, it’s darker than what you see below, but still soft and rich.
More gray than White Duck, Aesthetic White is a great choice if you want soft, white walls without feeling warm. However, even the aesthetics of white is not cold, it is like a very light gray and is an excellent choice if colored light enters the space. For example, in our last house, our bedroom only had one window looking out into the red brick house. Most of the light that enters through that window is reflected off the neighbor’s house and casts strange pinkish hues throughout the room. Pale white color absorbs enough light, and neutral tones protect the room from pink or purple.

All the bedrooms and bathrooms in my house are Behr Cameo White – I don’t know if I could get any better! 🙂 My favorite Behr white paint, it’s a gorgeous light gray paint that goes great with Carrara marble (one of my favorite materials). However, it’s not too cold and has a really soft white color with an LRV of 81.
Very similar to Cameo White, Snowbound has a fresher, more realistic look, with pure white walls. However, with an LRV of 83, it is soft and elegant enough to allow for furniture and
