I WILL! Thank you so much for this post. I am building a new house with a “new farmhouse” theme. In the kitchen, the cabinets are white, the island is made of stainless steel. Do you think alabaster is a good color for white cabinets? If so, what color should the walls around the cabinets be? The kitchen opens onto the living room, so it is a color that I can paint outdoors (kitchen and living room). I like the “warm” tones of alabaster – but I don’t want it to look yellow. Should I stick to the “pure white” color for the cabinets? But I don’t like the white of the cabinets, which takes away from the farmhouse feel. For the walls of this space, if you want a gray color, look for a light gray and a relaxing gray. If you prefer a warm color, check out the perfect beige. Hope this helps and good luck!

Good questions! All the mentioned white colors look good on your island. Purer and snow-white than alabaster. But honestly, most people don’t know the difference. Alabaster is a warm white, while pure white is colder and frosty. If I want white/white, I go for pure white. If I want a warm white, I would go with Alabástrom. I hope this helps! Good luck! I WILL! We are renovating and I am thinking of painting the kitchen walls and cabinets white. Is that a lot? I like white quartz with a little gray. We will have an island. I can make the island the same white, wood or gray instead of paint. We are looking at Morning Fog SW 6255 or Krypton SW 6247. Which do you think is better? Our first house had oak cabinets with sage walls and I was ready for a change.

One of my favorite whites is alabaster because it has such a soft look. Look at the alabaster and white painted pieces side by side and you will see the difference.
