Warm Dark Grey Benjamin Moore – I am often asked about the best paint colors. Choosing a color for a space is a commitment, a process that many find overwhelming. There is so much variation in shades and undertones of the same color that these subtle changes are often invisible in a small patch of paint, so it’s important to test the color on your own walls. That said, I’ve developed my share of neat favorites over the years and thought my blog would be the perfect place to share them.

Gray has such a beautiful variety of tones. From soft neutrals to darker shades, gray looks amazing while maintaining its ability to go with almost anything.

There are some important details about gray that you should know before using it on the walls. One thing that goes back and forth with gray is that the brown color appears as an undertone. So if you have red with a touch of green, it becomes greenish gray. Red with a slight purple tinge appears purple.

My Top 10 Benjamin Moore Grays

With these concepts in mind, I’ve listed my favorite dark, light (cool + warm), medium, and toned (meaning those with a tendency towards one color) grays.

I also hardly use cold herbs and mostly avoid them for the PNW. Cool grays always seem cold and I don’t like rooms. Maybe it’s time to realize that the bathroom is cold and hard materials. These grays may be more neutral than cool, but they leave enough coolness to make you feel that way. They are the only good herbs I have ever used.

Yellow warm reds are my neutrals. I love the soft warm gray, it has an atmospheric, relaxing and peaceful effect. I like warm colors more than other shades of gray and that’s why I just love them. I use Light Peter in my Seattle cottage living room and bathroom in our sandy soil, Classic Green is the paint color in my living room in our sandy soil, Skimming Stone in our sandy soil Kitchen color. I recently used -a-terre and Collingwood in one of the men’s bedrooms at the Heathcote Road project.

Gray mud is perfect if you have a large space or a room that needs a little extra light or mood, but not too much mood. I painted our dining room in our cottage La Paloma Green and I love it. It is warm, deep enough to create a pleasant feeling, but not dark.

Dark grays are great for creating a moody space or used as an accent on trim and doors. I like to use railings, named after iron railings, for outdoor features such as fences, railings (hence the name) and sculptures. These dark colors are also trending for exterior colors – recently used raccoon fur in a clients home. While black is visible, using a very dark gray will create the impression of black but with more depth.

Hanging vegetables can be tricky, but I have a few tips that I use from time to time. French gray is the color of my current kitchen cabinets, mizel is the color of my bedroom at my parent’s house, blue gray and silver marlin are perfect blue gray if you want a Louis XV which is blue, and seashells that I use over and over again. . . . The warm purple gray color creates such a soft, feminine and relaxed tone, it’s hard not to love.

As with any design, we want to create spaces that are interesting with a sense of depth. White and cream rooms can be very flat, but if you pay attention to subtle details, you can create a space that is comfortable and peaceful.

A touch of modernity, leaning on the traditional with a lot of French influence. I wanted our dining room to be eclectic and a little whimsical, a mix of some of my favorite design eras while still incorporating some of my current collection of antiques and vintage artwork.

After the One Room Challenge week, we need to check some big things off this week’s to-do list. After completing these things, this room starts to come together. I thought it would be appropriate to share my favorite shades of black before Halloween. Using black for Halloween can be scary, but it doesn’t have to be in your everyday home. Black is a bold color that adds beautiful contrast and dark elements to your home.

Many people avoid using black color in their homes. But if done right, it can give you a fresh modern look. It shows more than modern farm designs.

If you’ve never considered black before, there are a few places in your home that might be the best place to start. Some of these areas are interior and exterior doors, kitchen cabinets and islands, accent walls, trim, or the entire room if you have enough lighting.

I love bright white spaces and usually have my tried and true favorite white colors. But the designer in me also loves these dark spaces. There is something timeless and classic about a place with traditional moldings painted in moody black.

This is a style I have achieved through many client projects. And today I want to share my favorite shades of black so you can keep this look in your home.

If you’re a little afraid of the black coal candle, this is a great color to start with. This is one of my favorite colors to use on walls when you want to add a little drama. It is more of a dark charcoal gray. Kendall Charcoal will make a statement but not as sharp as true black. It is very versatile and lends itself to being more neutral. This means it works well with other colors.

Iron Mountain is a warm black and can have brown undertones with lots of natural light. This color is great for interior doors and trim, but can also be used on walls. It is a rich color but not too dark.

Gray Paint Colors For Your Home

The gray is a nice charcoal color that is softer than true black. I use this color on the walls for my clients and it’s amazing. It has a nice balance of warm and cool tones and adds drama to any space.

Raccoon fur is another black with blue tones. It’s a beautiful color that looks great on walls and kitchen cabinets.

Witching Hour is a cool black with some blue undertones. Along with shades of blue, this bold color looks great on a dramatic accent wall outside the home. It also works well with the white border on the front side.

If I had to pick my absolute favorite black, it would be steel. It is a soft and quiet black color that is resistant to damage on trim, doors and cabinets. It has less warmth compared to true black.
