Who knew deciding on a white paint color could be so difficult, right? There are hundreds of options with different styles, so narrowing it down can be frustrating and confusing.
Today we’re talking about Benjamin Moore’s popular Dove White, including undertones, color combinations, where to use it and more, and we hope it helps you find the perfect white paint color for your home.
Dove White OC-17 is a soft neutral white that has been Benjamin Moore’s best seller for at least several decades. Also known as PM-19 (PM stands for premixed), it has all the properties needed for a functional and neutral white paint.
It’s the color I’ve sold and recommended on most of the decor and trim for the past 30 years, and I’ve used it all over my home.

One of Benjamin Moore’s best white paint colors is simply white. It is lighter and slightly warmer than dove white.
Super White is lighter and slightly cooler than White Dove. It provides pure white and sharp contrast.
The closest color to Dove White is Sherwin Williams Alabaster. It has an LRV of 82 and is smaller and darker than Dow White. They have the same tone.

Pure white is slightly warmer than dove white. It is very nice, clear and clean and has LRV 84.
Another similar color is the Greek Villa. It is slightly darker with LRV 84 and warmer or browner than the white dove.
The Snowbound LRV 83 has a warmer tone than the smaller black and white dove.
