Sherwin Williams Snowbound Coordinating Colors – Sherwin Williams Snowbound is a very popular white color. This shade is a beautiful soft white that brightens up a room without looking overwhelming.

The color white can be easy, but it is difficult because of the many differences that make a big impact.

Instead of choosing a new white color for every project, I’m a big advocate of having a few shades available everywhere.

Sherwin Williams Pure White: A Complete Color Review!

I recently posted an in-depth color review of Benjamin Moore’s Simply White, which is one of my go-to whites. It is a pure white that I have used on walls, walls and kitchen cabinets with great success!

In this post, I have another favorite designer white shade to share with you. Snowbound by Sherwin Williams (SW 7004). A neutral white that looks cool and clean but also looks soft and sweet.

And with so many different qualities like this, it’s no wonder SW Snowbound is often chosen for walls, trim, ceilings and even outdoors.

When choosing a new color, you should test the actual color of your home first!

The easiest and fastest way to do this is to sample! I only use it for color samples now. No mess, no color swatch left. Plus, these no-fuss, peel-and-stick rectangles made from real colors are easy to move around the room and easy to store for future reference!

The color of the snow is a variety of white with a soft gray undertone. But it is not a gray color on your wall. The gray color makes the light white soft and a little muted so that it is not too cold.

It may come as a surprise that Sherwin Williams Snowbound also comes in pink (pink/purple). It is so faint that you see a wall and think it looks pink. However, it helps to increase the temperature and soften the bright white so that it is not cold or cold.

One of the most notable things about the color white is that the surrounding colors and the brightness of the light have a great effect on it. This is definitely the case with Snowbound because, in the cold colors of the northern light, you can see the soft and quiet side more clearly.

Then, in the warm southern light, you will see that it reads more pure white or maybe a little edge at night in the western light.

Note that the tone is yellow. Although this white can take a yellow color when next to a yellow decoration, by itself, it does not boast a yellow color.

Light reflectance value (LRV) is the amount of light reflected or absorbed by a color. A higher LRV number indicates how much light is reflected (rather than absorbed). In other words, LRV 100 is pure white, and LRV 0 is pure black.

Because it reflects a lot of light, it can be said that it is a bright color but not too white. I would say it is on the border between white and white, so in a little natural light it can look more muted and white. But in natural light, snowbound looks white.

Our Review Of Snowbound By Sherwin Williams

SW Snowbound is a bit more subtle than the other whites, as I don’t want to mix it with anything too warm, like your true beige. Sherwin Williams recommends pairing it with gray colors like:

If you choose Snowbound as your wall color, you have a decision to make about your trim color.

One option is to paint your trim with Snowbound. If you like Snowbound but are concerned about his health, this is a great way to tone down the sounds.

You can add contrast between the paint and the wall if the color is the same by using different colors. I recommend using a semi-gloss on the trim to make it shine a little. Then, use shellac on the interior wall to darken the color of the wall.

Another way to approach the color scheme of the SW snowbound walls is to paint them a brighter white.

Good choices are Sherwin Williams High Reflective White and Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace. (Chantilly Lace is the color for the ceiling, so it’s a good choice for cool white!) Of course, you can also go with Benjamin Moore’s Simply White, which is a slightly lighter shade.

White color is one of the most difficult when you try to match it with other white colors. They all have their own sounds and some work well with others and some don’t. So, let’s see how the famous weights compare.

Alabaster has a warm, beige tone while Snowbound has a cooler tone. Alabaster works well with cream, beige and gray colors. And Snowbound works well with grey, gray and other cool whites. However, in the end, they completely fall into the white color category.

Plain white is a very pale white color that can be pale yellow compared to true white. So, I wouldn’t connect it with Snowbound.

SW Extra White has a blue-white color and compared to Snowbound, you will definitely get a beautiful tone. Therefore, I do not mix the two colors. If you are looking for a true white to pair with Snowbound, I would look for Sherwin Williams Pure White.

I’ll be honest: it’s not my best choice because it can be heavy and often looks bad on different countertops and backsplashes.

However, if you have black countertops without peaches, pinks or greige on them, snowbound can look great.

Sarah in Room for Tuesday used SW Snowbound on the walls and did this kitchen makeover. It is the perfect shade for walls, even in a white kitchen, because it is soft enough to combine different shades of white in a unified look.

Jennifer from City Farmhouse transformed the living room of her new home by painting the walls with Sherwin Williams Snowbound. This soft white has an almost white quality, so it is light enough to appear white in natural light. Beautiful!

The bedroom is our place to relax, so I rely on calm colors for the bedroom (see my top bedroom colors here!). Snowbound is a great color choice for a bedroom because it is a light but soft shade. It encourages rest and relaxation without turning the room into a cave.

I love this picture of the Spoiled Home because it shows how tall Snowbound is and how it is. Notice the gray cast in the shadows and the pink on the walls from the reflections on the pillows and decor.

Also, this bathroom doesn’t have a lot of natural light, but you wouldn’t know it, thanks to how bright and spacious the Snowbound feels!

A very light white color can be too much for an outdoor house because the natural light can make it look dull white. Snowbound, however, is perfect for outdoors, like Grace’s house in My Space, because it reads like a bright white instead of appearing white.

The snow-bound is warm, but only a little. It has a light pink color that gives warmth to the shade, while the soft gray color softens it and makes it muted.

No, not at all. Although it is a white color with a little warmth, this color does not have a yellow tint like the more pink white color.
