Hello! Thank you so much for this post. I am building a new house, with a “modern house” theme. In the kitchen, the cabinets will be white and the island will be stained. Do you think alabaster would be a good color for white cabinets? If so, what color would you paint the walls around the closet? The kitchen is open to the living room, so it should be a color that I can paint the entire open space (kitchen and living room). I like the “warm” tones of alabaster – but I don’t want them to look yellow. Should I stick to “white” cabinets? But don’t want the cabinets to be too white as they take away from the farmhouse feel. Good question! All the whites you mentioned would look great with your island. Pure white and snow covered are whiter than alabaster. But to be honest, most people wouldn’t notice the difference. Alabaster is warm white, while snow white is cool. If I wanted white/white, I would go with pure white. If I wanted a warm white, I would go with Alabaster. Hope this helps! I wish you luck! Hello! We’re doing a new build and I’m thinking High Visibility white for the walls and kitchen cabinets. Is that too much? I want white quartz with a touch of gray. We will have an island. I can make the island even more white, wood instead of color, or gray. Look at maybe Morning Fog SW 6255 or Krypton SW 6247. Which do you think would be better? Our previous home was all oak cabinets and sage walls and I’m ready for a change.
Your new kitchen sounds wonderful. I have not had personal experience with Highly Reflective white, but I can honestly say that many people have used it and love it. One of my favorite whites is Alabaster because it has a soft look. Look at the Alabaster and High Visibility White paint chips side by side and you will see the difference.
