Sherwin Williams Emerald Paint Colors – The colors in the Sherwin-Williams® Emerald® Designer Edition collection are absolutely delicious! Although they are organized into 5 different palettes, almost all of these smooth velvet options work extremely well together and make color selection very easy.
The rich pigments are subtle, making it easy to create a color palette. Since the colors in this collection generally have a similar consistency and brightness, it’s great to mix and match.

The perfect white color selection has just been updated! It’s been almost 5 years since Sherwin-Williams® introduced a new line. This collection fills in the gaps that designers lack. We can imagine that many of them will change some of our standards. For example, SW 9541 White Snow is as close to true white as SW 7757 High Reflective White, but has a softer, more balanced edge.

The “rustic and sophisticated” palette offers the perfect update to the latest farmhouse trend. For a softer version for kitchen cabinets, try ‘Succulent’ (SW 9650) instead of charcoal.
Prelude (SW 9620) is another film we predict will be a fan favorite. Keep this in mind the next time you refer to “iron ore” (SW 7069).
With a subtle finish, the Emerald series provides ultimate coverage. Translation – fewer layers, even with color changes. You pay more per gallon but get less per gallon.

Best Sherwin Williams Green Paints (trend 2023)
All images by Sherwin-Williams®. Honestly, these colors are so new that there aren’t many pictures right now. Why be one of the first to post your own photos using them? I’m really excited about today’s post because for the first time in years, Sherwin Williams has added 200 new great designer effect colors, like the new exclusive collection of single coat/self-coating colors called Emerald Designer Edition. These colors and shades are now Sherwin Williams’ interior paint line.
Before I get into the details, I want you to know that this post is in no way a sponsored post. I’m just a painting enthusiast and sharing what I’ve learned while researching this new line for my client projects.
These 200 new colors are exclusive to Emerald Designer Edition colors and cannot be used with any other Sherwin Williams colors. This is because the Emerald Designer color line is completely different with an “UltraWhite Base”, so if you request this exclusive color for other SW colors, you will not get the same color because the other white bases are completely different.
In a press release for the new collection, Sherwin Williams noted that they developed the new colors based on requests from interior designers who wanted brighter whites, more sophisticated grays/creams, and darker tones. Because of the brighter white base, SW can capture these colors better.
Best White Paint Colors, Sherwin Williams Designer Edition (emerald)
When I first saw fan deca I was amazed because Sherwin Williams clearly understood what the designers were looking for when creating this new collection and hit the nail on the head! All paint colors are good!
I’m already marking some colors for my customers and wanted to share some of my favorite colors from the new collection to inspire you.
Hands down at the top of my list is the Steel Forged SW9565. I can tell right now that we will be seeing a lot of this color because it’s so pretty! Ironically, I’ve been trying to get a charcoal color with a custom mix and I’ve never been able to get it right. Sherwin Williams did the dream brown/grey/charcoal mix I wanted for the project and it’s perfection!
By the way, the other colors I added to the collage above are from the steel floor paint line. I’m in love with all of these color stripes and often work from one stripe to make sure all the colors in the space (trim, door color, cabinets, walls, etc.) work together.
Emerald Rain Refresh Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint
Wrought steel is perfect for permanent walls, cabinets and interior doors. In fact, in a client project I’m working on, I’ll be using this color for the interior doors of the entire house. Isn’t that amazing?
This AMAZING deep muddy green that is very close to my favorite faux steel is called Succulent. Oh my God!! very good! By the way, this paint stick is amazing too!
Sherwin Williams used a succulent in the SW White Sail cabinet from the new collection in this space (I love that delicate white).
Another favorite that I can’t wait to try is Guild Gray, which is actually the lightest color in the Forged Steel color line. I think this color would make a perfect wall color for the whole house in certain lighting conditions.

Guild Gray reminds me of Repose Grey, which is a bit cooler. I think Guild Gray would look great in a home that doesn’t have a lot of natural light. It makes the wall lighter/lighter with shades of the same color.
I also admire the use of Serenely and all the other colors in the Serenely Color palette. It’s an amazing blue without much pigmentation.
I also like the dark Whisper color on the bottom wall. Also note the white brick color! It is called white sesame and is a dull warm gray color and very light.
Regarding the quality of the new Sherwin Williams Emerald Designer Edition paint, I have heard good things about the product from several different paint contractors I work with who have also tried it. While it’s definitely more expensive than traditional emerald paint, the good news is that it’s one coat of paint, so you won’t need to cover a room and you’ll save money in the long run by using less paint. I also love that this line comes in a scratch house! Good news as I prefer to use flats in my client projects as it makes a difference on the wall.

This color is of high quality and reasonable price. But if the rumors are to be believed, this is a pretty fantastic product and the new colors are hard to beat.
