The exact shade can make all the difference when it comes to creating a fresh, modern space or something that just feels right.

Seagull Gray is a medium street grey. Not too dark, not too bright, not too cool, not too hot. It’s sharp and sophisticated without demanding too much attention.

Similar to Behr’s Seagull Gray, Benjamin Moore’s Shoreline is a little warmer and perfect for the whole home.
Coventry Gray is part of Benjamin Moore’s historic color collection. It was released in 1976 to celebrate America’s bicentennial, but it still feels totally fresh. This is a shade that will tirelessly stay in your home for decades to come.
A favorite of architects. Pick up any accommodation magazine and you’ll probably see Farrow & Ball’s Cornforth White (not exactly white, but a nice shade of light gray taupe).
This rich gray mid-range design is another crowd favorite (including us, of course). Great for a small bathroom or bedroom to add a little mood. It feels vibrant and traditional.

Almost beige, but with just enough gray to feel modern (hence the name!), this is the perfect paint color for anyone looking for a warm, inviting color.
Donald Kaufman Color may be a new brand name to you, but the New York-based company produces excellent quality paint. The DKC-7 is one of their customers’ favorite neutrals.

Well, I don’t consult online colors specifically with BEHR (BM and SW only) and don’t know their colors for sure, but this info should definitely help you. I’m usually a cheeky little ginger, and these blog posts will get you started on your next painting project!
BTW, since I don’t use Behr colors and only use pictures from my E-DESIGN clients, I don’t have pictures of these colors in action, just showing you comparable colors for the general idea.
Breezeway: Why It Made Behr’s Color Of The Year 2022

Dolphin fins are a slightly warm gray – not traditionally warm as it looks like greige, but it’s definitely not a cool shade. That’s what I call a “grey storm”. With an LRV of 59, the dolphin’s fin is deep gray but rather bright, not bright and fresh.
All grays have cool undertones and Dolphin Fin is no exception, the undertones are fairly neutral and resemble Sherwin Williams Repose Grey, another popular warm gray colour.
Silver Drop offers a lighter approach to gray. With an LRV of 69, it’s a light gray color – not washed out, but not as full as a dolphin’s fin. I can see right away that Silver Drop is one of those ninja colors – any of the 3 shades of gray can be achieved with a little encouragement, although it’s soft on green. The appearance of this color can easily be influenced by the lighting of the room, the interior design and personal taste!
Choosing Front Door Paint Colors
You’ll find that Silver Drop is warmer, especially when compared to other cooler gray paint colors, without getting to the more extreme end of things.
Misty Coast is one of my favorite Behr gray paint colors. It’s cool but not freezing, a very soft, subtle blue with a subtle stormy look that can swing teal at times… but just barely.
Misty Coast has 68 LRVs well placed within range of the light. It seems like it should have a pretty low LRV if you ask me, but I figured it might be due to a storm.
Silver City has a bit more meat at 57 LRVs. Still in the bright range, but too bright so not optimal for a dark room.
Bedroom Paint Colors: 7 Best Paint Colors For Master Bedrooms
As far as undertones go, this bad boy is “relatively” neutral, but can also be shaken up a bit by lighting, interior design, and personal perception. On cool undertones I can see it might prefer a cool green/teal a little.
No doubt you’ll be heading out for color swatches in the near future – stay tuned! I want you to peel and stick paint samples. Samplers are cheaper, more practical and more environmentally friendly than traditional paint pots. Your samples are also much larger than these tiny scraps of paper.
With an LRV of 65, the Sterling fits well in the light range, not too heavy and not washed out. Unlike the above two, which come across as “boisterous and soft” on the fly, Sterling is a COOOOL gray with a soft blue-purple undertone. This undertone can balance a southern exposure well, but can be a bit too cold for a north-facing room.
Eon is a beautiful, muted, soothing grey. Not traditionally cold, but not super squishy or hot either. Eon has a soft, beautiful green undertone that can turn a little green-blue, sometimes with northern or eastern lights.
