Warm Colors For Exterior House
When choosing a warm white, we look for colors with an LRV of less than 85 in brick and wood. Anything above 85 is bright and can be harsh in some outdoor applications, especially those in direct sunlight. Also, different house types affect how white is perceived. For example, stucco or cedar shakes create more shadows and a darker appearance. Accents like black or copper gutters also create different sounds.

Swiss coffee has a slightly yellow color that turns it golden every hour, but it is worth considering if you prefer something a little more. Sherwin Williams’ Shoji White is a beautiful warm white with hints of yellow and pink depending on the lighting. With an LRV of 74, it’s a great shade for a house that gets strong sunlight most of the day because it won’t be blinding.
